  9. Wow… Love all of the Thanksgiving ideas! I especially like the Italian sausage stuffing.. it sounds like a dish that I love to make. The pumpkin cheesecake with gingersnap crust sounds wonderful, as well.

  10. I had all of the ingredients for the pumpkin crumble so I decided to give it a try. I am like you and do NOT like pumpkin pie so I will admit I was a skeptic! OH.MY.WORD! It was soooo delish!!! Thanks for the recipe and the honesty of your pumpkin pie dislike! Sometimes I think people think I am a Benedict Arnold because I do not like pumpkin pie – it is so nice to find a kindred spirit! Thanks for the recipe!

OH, I did not have yellow cake mix so I had to use a spice cake mix – FAB!

  11. Kinda makes me wish we were having a big party with lots of people instead of working on our new house. Maybe next year…and in our new house! πŸ™‚

  12. Missy! I'm glad you left a comment on this post. I totally saw your question on the honey butter and deleted it from my email like I always do before heading over to answer it. However I got side-tracked before I could reply and I couldn't for the life of me remember what post it was referring to! I spent forever sitting there thinking what recipe someone would ask about where salted vs. unsalted butter would make a difference, lol. ANYWAY, sorry about that- didn't want you to think you were ignored!

The very simple answer is, it doesn't matter πŸ™‚ I almost always use salted butter for everything, and I think with all of the sweetness in this recipe, you'd probably need the contrast of the salt, so if you have it go with salted.

  13. ok, thank you!! that's what i was going to use if i hadn't heard back in time for T-day.

i love love love the blog! it's making healthy eating a bit of a challenge πŸ™‚

  14. i love the white chocolate pie and the condiments. sounds like dindin at your house will be great! HTD.

  23. I absolutely love artichoke dip! I had one one time that had spinach and garlic in it and it was fabulous, but the way I would love it is to mix the artichoke dip with the jalapeno popper recipe! Yum Yum Yum. I think I may just try that out for New Years this year. I will let you know how it turns out!
    Have a great Holiday girls!
    Happy Thanksgiving.

  24. Thank you so much for posting this entry! I am trying to make the menu for our first Thanksgiving and I started to get a little overwhelmed with too many options all over the internet. You have narrowed it down to some soon-to-be favorites in our home!:)

  27. Oh My Goodness!
I absolutely LOVE your site. I went out yesterday and bought the supplies to start baking cookies for a "friends cookie exchange" on the 6th. The only problem I have is which ones do I try first? What a sweet dilema. There are so many wonderful ideas on your site!!!
Thank you so much for the wonderful ideas. Your pitures are great – but hey girl – do you ever have time to do anything but cook? It must take you hours to do the cooking, then the writing of your blog, and then the upload to your site with the wonderful pictures. You are a very talented person.
    Thanks again for sharing.
