ipad mini In our family, we had two kids close together who are now 8 and 6 and then we had a pretty good-sized age-gap before the next one came along; my daughter was 5 when our baby was born. One of the craziest things was how much things changed in 5 years. Some changes took some getting used to (it makes for a very long 40 weeks when you’re getting daily updates on your phone about how your baby is the size of a kumquat, now a slightly larger kumquat, now a slightly larger kumquat), but some changes have been fabulous.

There are rockstar mommas out there who make their own baby food. I am not one of them. Even when I only had one, I just remember steaming and pureeing and straining peas and then adding pumped milk and thinking, “This is NOT just as easy as buying baby food in a jar! Everyone lied!

One of my favorite things about having a baby right now are the new pouch purees. We’ve fed these to Baby Willbo (or Baby Whale, as Sara’s youngest calls him) since we started him on solids, and now even though he just turned 1 and he’s eating mostly table foods, we still probably do 1-2 pouches a day; they’re great when we’re on the road or when we’re short on fresh fruits and veggies or when he can’t eat what we’re eating.

Plum Organics is one of the brands we love (Blueberry Pear and Purple Carrot is one of Will’s all-time favorites, and he loves their real fruit gummies). If you head over to the Plum Organics Amazing Moments Facebook page, you can enter to win a year’s supply of Plum Organics baby and toddler foods (and don’t tell anyone, but I give them to my big kids, too–it’s pretty much the only way I can get my super-picky oldest to eat his veggies.) All you need to do is enter a video of your baby doing something awesome–this one’s mine!

But we wanted to give you guys something, too–we’re giving away a box of Plum Organics goodies…
