With Easter two days from now, I’m guessing that many of you are planning on gathering with friends and family for a yummy holiday meal. Assuming your main dish is taken care of (at our house growing up it was always a roast or a ham) we thought we’d give a shout out to some of our favorite dishes to complete the meal. Hopefully this stuff will round out the consumption of chocolate bunnies and jelly beans!
Brunch: For whatever reason, Easter seems to be the perfect brunch holiday. Maybe it’s the season that reminds me of flowers and morning sunshine (depending on where you live!) or maybe it’s the fact that I look for any excuse to brunch. Either way, here’s some of our favorite brunch dishes. You can find even more in our index!
Side Dishes: I’m guessing the most common dish people are asked to bring to a potluck meal is a side, so here are some of our all-stars!
Dessert: It’s not a holiday meal without a sweet ending. Check out these crowd pleasers!
And if you’ve got Easter candy or hard boiled eggs to eat up, try our Cadbury Egg Cookies, or our Egg Salad BLT!
My daughter just received your new cookbook as a gift and I think the recipes look great and easy to prepare. My type of cooking!! Just ordered six new cook books.
Thank you for sharing with us.
I made the quiche for our Easter brunch today and it was a huge hit. Since yesterday was our daughter's birthday party, I actually prepped everything Friday and then combined them & put into the pie crusts this morning to bake. It worked beautifully. And it traveled to the park beautifully too!
Thanks!
littlebitty- unfortunately we don't have much control over the printfriendly feature. If you have trouble printing a recipe I suggest just copying the text and pasting it into Word to print. Or you can always highlight the text you want to print and choose "print selection" from your printer menu.
I love the Easter holiday! I would love to see how you cook up a spiral ham!
Some of these will be great for conference this weekend. I'm already drooling over the cinnamon rolls! Mmmm!
You're awesome Sara, thanks! So much to cook and so little time ; )
I can't seem to print the recipe for overnight cinnamon rolls. When i click the print friendly button, it brings up a box with the whole post, and lets me delete some of the wording (no lines with links in them) and the pictures. But then, I have to click resend for it to bring up my printer settings button. Only, it never prints it. I print things all the time, so I don't think its a printer problem. Am I doing something wrong? I just want the recipe…my husband asked me last night to make cinnamon rolls, so I am thrilled to see the recipe!
You should rock a Passover post next year 🙂 Lots of interesting and fun dishes can be made sans bread! Even your regular readers would dig on them.
I've been meaning to try your chocolate mousse crunch cake for a while now – thanks for the reminder! 🙂
Mmm…that chocolate crunch cake has me drooling!
Yummmmm!
