We hope you’ve enjoyed this week extra full of posts! We thought we’d round it out with some inspiration for last minute party fun. In case you missed any of the yummy red, white, and blue posts this week, here’s a re-cap, plus a bunch of things I’ve bookmarked over the past few weeks and totally never had time to actually make. I’m not the only one who does that, am I??
Red, White and Blue Fruit Pizza: Click here for recipe
I was so excited when Kate posted this because it’s totally nostalgic for me. My mom made this all the time for summer parties. Love! If you’re in the Boise area, I’m going to whip one up this Saturday morning on ktvb channel 7 news, around 9:30
Grilled Chicken and Berry Salad: Click here for recipe
Definitely a crowd-pleaser for any pot-luck
DIY Paper Snack Bowls: Click here for tutorial
Put older kids to work on these cuties. Fill with treats like Fruity Candy Popcorn!

Star-Studded Mini Pies: Click here for recipe
Use refrigerated pie crust and canned filling for a super fast and super impressive treat!
Try this easy and patriotic breakfast. Tint your favorite pancake batter (or use a mix!) with food coloring. I made these for my kiddos this morning and they were a big hit.
I posted the cute paper bowl craft yesterday, but I almost made these cute Candy Cracker Rockets, also from Martha Stewart. They don’t really “crack” but I think they’d be really cute favors. My kids would love to pull the tails off and find goodies inside.
They’re so fun, and Martha even has the printables! Instructions found here.
Love these cute ice pops, super simple too. Click here for recipe
I kid you not, my heart skipped a beat when I saw these bomb pop cupcakes. Brilliant idea from Kristan of Confessions of a Cookbook Queen. If you haven’t explored her blog yet, go do it. But first push your keyboard out of the way because you’re bound to spit something out at least once when you burst into spontaneous laughter. Click here for recipe.
SUCH a great idea from Bake at 350, little cookie toppers for ice cream sundae glasses! Click here for tutorial.
Absolutely love these sparkler tags from Twig and Thistle, found via Living Locurto!
Independence day may soon be over but I’m totally printing this subway art out right now for next year- I love it! Click here to download from eighteen 25
Really, I could fill an entire post with cute little projects from eighteen 25. I want one of those genious girls to come to my house and scatter craftiness around. Like all of this:
Check out their site for lots of inspiration- and bookmark some projects for next year!
Lastly, since I’m always needing last minute ideas for the kiddos- fell in love with these no-baking-involved treats from Lisa Storms. Totally adorable.
For a great list of things that are easily adapted to red, white, and blue, check out this party I did with color themed foods like Colorburst Cupcakes, Dipped Marshmallow Pops, Dipped Pretzel Rods, and Glass Block Jello.
Hope everyone has a great weekend with lots of sunshine, swimming, bbq’ing, and all that good stuff. God Bless America!
This is the problem with writing such great things about some one elses things, you show great photos of something and then no instructions or tutorial as promised at ‘the link’. Because the page is gone. Whay can’t you copy this info onto or into your page if you are going to write about it and show photos of it? Otherwise don’t write about it because when we want to see it, we read all the way through your blog and then try to go to the link and of course we can not.
I made the star studded mini pies for a party over the weekend and they were a hit! They looked so fancy, everyone was calling me Martha Stewart. Thanks for the recipe!!!
i love this website i try all sorts of fun resipies they never disappoint and i am very picky
Great roundup! Those star studded mini pies are SO clever.
You and Kate have spoiled me this week and now I’m going to be sad when you go back to your normal M/W/F posts! Love the patriotism!!!
Haha, love that in the pic with the “pledge of allegiance” decor your lovely “Family” blocks underneath are spelled out “I am fly” instead of family…maybe it was meant to be that way since your blog is SO amazingly awesome and I am sure you are definatly “Fly”!
What a great round up of 4th of July recipes, crafts and fun!!
I love these amazing ideas! I’m a sucker for baking for the holidays, so this is great!
Oh, thank you SO much for the shout-out! Honored to be on your blog…it’s one of my favorites….along wth these great projects. Happy 4th!
What a cute blog! Yall have such fun ideas! I’m in the middle of planning my baby boys first birthday. Its a vintage truck theme. I’m sure to find some cute ideas here!

And THANK YOU for the feature and the sweet words!! So very appreciated.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
I love how the letter blocks spell “I am fly” in the first Pledge of Allegiance art photo. Is that at your house, Sara? 😉 Thanks for the ideas!
I wish! ha. It’s so cute, isn’t it?
