Kroger Gift Card Giveaway!

CATEGORIES: General News

We told you all about our adventures in Michigan last month, where we developed original flavors for our favorite Private Selection Brand Ice cream.

To represent my state of Idaho- I highlighted our state-fruit in my Crumb Topped Huckleberry Pie Ice Cream!

Sara's Huckleberry Ice Cream
Kate paid homage to the comforting flavors of the South in her Banana Pudding with Salted Caramel Ice Cream.

They’re both amazing, and one of them could actually go through the process of product development and end up in a grocery store freezer near you!   But only the flavor with the most votes wins.  We participated with a fantastic group of food writers and there are lots of amazing flavors to choose from.

Now we need YOU to vote on which one you’d like to see end up in the grocery store!  Vote for your favorite flavor and you’ll get a coupon to try out Private Selection right now (no sponsorship here- we LOVE Private Selection Ice Cream.  No joke.)

You can vote once per day for the next week, and each time you vote you can come back to this blog post and leave a comment.  All you have to do is tell us you voted- and each time you’ll get another entry in this giveaway.  Next week we’ll draw 2 random numbers and each of those people will win a $50 gift card good at an Kroger store.  Keep in mind, that’s any store in the Kroger family, so that includes not only Kroger, but Ralph’s, QFC, Dillon’s, Fred Meyer, Smith’s and Fry’s.  That’s a nice bag of groceries!

So Click Here to vote for a flavor and then come back and leave a comment each day that you vote!

  1. voted for that huckleberry pie one! Sounds good. Although I would have loved to see more chocolate options on there… But that is because I’m a choc-aholic!!

  2. I had to vote for Kate because she said “Salted Caramel”, but no worries as an Idaho girl, I feel it is my duty to vote for Sara’s Huckleberry ice cream tomorrow. 🙂

  3. Today I voted for Huckleberry Pie…mmmmmm reminds me of my trip to Glacier National Park this summer. Huckleberries are delish!

  4. I voted, though I must say that none of the flavors really calls my name. I’m a chocoholic to the core and the one true chocolate option was cinnamon-y, which is not up my alley. Good luck!

  5. So many delicious flavors and I can’t have the sugar, but I can dream of the flavor explosions in the mouth. My grandsons love ice cream so this won’t go to waste. Hope one of you wins – I voted.

  6. Huckleberry all the way! Funny because I didn’t understand that you wanted us to vote for one of the two that are yours… But I still picked huckleberry out of them all. So it’s definitely the winner!!!

  7. I would have to vote for the banana pudding with salted caramel. Caramel is one of my favorite flavors ever, and being from the south myself banana pudding is a must have. The other looked good, but I have never eaten a huckleberry so I can’t say if I would like it or not.

  8. Whoa, does that Crumb-topped Huckleberry Pie look delicious! I lived in Idaho for a whole 5 years and everyone went huckleberry picking. To me, the only huckleberry I had ever heard of was Huckleberry Hound! I had some pie made from huckleberries once and it was wonderful.

  9. I voted! I would love to spend all $50 on ice cream. (Of course better sense would prevail, but I would love to just the same!)

  10. I voted for Huckleberry Pie! It really was the flavor I liked best out of the bunch. Huckleberries are one of my favorite things in the world.

  11. How can I vote since I don’t use Facebook? I know I’m in the dark ages—but there are some of us who’d still like to participate in the vote!

  12. Oh yeah baby! I voted for the banana pudding with caramel. Ymmmmm! Sure hope it makes it, cause I am dying for it right now! Thanks for the offer. Hope to win!

  13. Why choose just one? I NEVER come home with just one container of ice cream… Let’s get both of them on the freezer shelves!!!!

  14. Dagnabbit!! Always facebook entries 🙁 I can’t even see what the other options are, much less vote b/c I’m not on FB. Maybe it’s just as well, since I can’t decide between just these two.

  15. I had to look up huckleberries and try to figure out what it would taste like…SOLD! I voted for Crumb-topped Huckleberry Pie.

  16. I voted for HUCKLEBERRY. Every year, I drag my husband and sons and anyone else who will go into the mountains of north Idaho to search for the little treasures. It takes forever to pick them, but they are so good. I hope the burst of flavor comes through in the ice cream as I imagine it will.

  17. I’ve never tried a Huckleberry! Loved the vibrant color and the idea of finding pieces of buttery crust and streusel. That got my vote.

  18. I’m such a berry fan, but anything that has “salted caramel” has my vote completely. I love the Private Selection ice creams. They have such yummy and unique flavors!

  19. I voted yesterday but couldn’t get through last night to post a comment here so here it is. I voted! Toss up between three, your two and the apple. I’ll be voting again.

  20. They both look so yummy!! Is there anyway to vote without letting Private Selection have access to my public profile, friends list, and likes? That’s a lot of privacy to give away.

  21. I vote for the Huckleberry Pie. I am very familiar with Private Selection ice cream. It’s awesome, very creamy. The combination of the two will be a hit.

  22. I voted. I wonder how Private Selection will get enough huckleberries to keep up with the demand for the new flavor when you win????

  23. They both look seriously amazing! I voted for huckleberry pie because my dad grew up in Idaho and misses his huckleberries!
