So I have kind of a weird life. My husband works for Procter & Gamble, so we frequently get huge amounts of P&G products (usually laundry products, like Tide, Bounce, Downy, etc., but also diapers and wipes, deodorant, and CoverGirl foundation for people with a MUCH darker complexion than I have). Then we also frequently get blog-related products to sample, many of which I end up using and loving and also many of which get shoved into a corner cupboard somewhere.
Here’s the deal: I need to downsize. So I want to give someone some of my stuff. I don’t know what stuff it will be yet, but I can pretty much guarantee it will include more dryer sheets than you’ll ever know what to do with and some cookbooks (I have waaaaaaaay too many).
Here’s what I do know:
- It will be at least $100 worth of stuff.
- It will all either be new (I’m not going to send you a half-used bottle of shampoo) or like-new (it might be a kitchen tool I’ve only used once or twice and don’t have space for.)
- You may not want it all. In that case, you are more than welcome to make your newly-acquired stuff someone else’s stuff.
- I will try and tailor at least some of the stuff to your own needs/wants/interests. Like I said, I have a lot of stuff.
If you want to take a box of stuff off my hands, tell me a random fact about yourself. Like, for instance, if I were entering, I might say, “Hi, I’m Kate, and I can’t buy metal appliances without touching them first because there are some types of metal that I can’t touch without getting the shivers.”
A few rules:
- The giveaway ends the evening of October 9. Â I’ll pick a winner and announce it in my post on Friday, October 10.
- It’s only open to residents of the United States.
- Enter with your name and an email address that you check frequently.
Hi! I’m Catherine. I have 4 young boys and therefore do A LOT of laundry. And therefore use A LOT of dryer sheets 🙂
Hi I’m Amy and a random fact about me is I live in the middle of landlocked Kansas, but I love to Scuba Dive!
I’m Stephanie. I raise and butcher my own organic chickens. It’s a little disgusting, but having a freezer full of healthy meat is absolutely worth it!
I’m Keri and I have had seven brain concussions.
I am addicted to a produce co-op called Bountiful Baskets. I love the surprise every Saturday morning finding out which fruits and vegies we will have to eat that week. I have learned to like new things I would have never bought in the store. My favorite thing is when I get something new and I have to ask-“What’s this?”
Hi, I’m a very girly-girl who loves to cook. I am a mother of four teenage BOYS. Needless to say, between my boys, and their friends, I feed (and clean up after) a lot of people!
These comments are the funniest things I have ever read! I am Brooke, and I love to organize things!
I’m Crystal & my husband and I are finally buying our first house! Such a fun giveaway!
What a fun giveaway! About me–I’m a sucker for strollers/baby carriers. I have to talk myself out of buying more.
I’m Desiree and I live vicariously through my children. Why not? I like to mow the lawn and cook and eat chips and salsa. I would love to win!! I could really use a box of free goodies….
Hi! I’m probably the only Devry you might ever meet. I tried out for American Idol (and obviously didn’t win, bummer). I exercise so I can eat, cause I LOVE food. I love cheesy Hallmark movies. I don’t travel cause I wig out on airplanes-the last flight I took was 3 yrs ago and half the passengers clapped for me when we landed!
I raise and train horses for a living and don’t put time into anything else.
Hi, I’m Julie and my least favorite thing in the world is shredded lettuce, which becomes particularly difficult at Mexican restaurants when they place the guacamole (which I love) right on top of it. Every. Single. Time.
Reading the first 200 comments makes my love of clear glass seem normal!

Hi! I’m Cielle and I’m on a mission to save the world from misused apostrophes, commas, and semicolons!
Hi, I’m Donna, and I have an unhealthy love of crafting which I have passed down to 2 of my 3 daughters, so I really need to downsize my craft supplies!! I also love to bake, especially things from your blog!! I love trying new recipes…right now I’m obsessing over whether or not to buy a donut pan to make baked donuts!!
I love baking. If I didn’t have 5 kiddos to homeschool and love, I would definitely be a baker for a profession!
Hi, I’m Laura and I love cooking and I hate cotton balls…
I love rainy days but since we just moved to So. CA I don’t think I’ll see very many of them this year.
Hi, I’m Mary! I’m currently making banana chocolate chip muffins and pretzel bites because it just seemed like a good idea, but they will probably be the last things I cook all week. I read your blog every M/W/F at work while I eat my lunch at my desk and dream of being a stay at home mommy and being cute and crafty.
Hi, It is my birthday on the 9th of October. That would be an awesome gift.
I’m Lynette and when I buy things I always have to get the second item in the row so I know it hasn’t been touched by hundreds of other people. Ha!
My name is Kelly and for the longest time I couldn’t stand to touch the lint on the lint catcher in the dryer. I would just let it build up until my husband did it or I would scrap it off with a plastic knife. I have sense had kids and have done so much laundry that I can stand to touch it, but I don’t like to.
Hi! I’m Susan, and I am addicted to wasabi peas and I can blow air out of the corner of my left eye.
My name is Deborah and I’m pregnant with my first child!
