Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I have two favorite holidays. Thanksgiving and Valentines. They both celebrate the love of family.
You get to share your love with family and friends with lots of yummy foods.
I just got your first cookbook and I LOVE it. I’d love your second one!!
Summer is my favorite – I’m a sunshine girl! And I would love a new cookbook because my 3-year-old commandeered my last one and eventually ripped the inside from the cover. 🙁
I can’t wait for the warmer weather to come, but I’ll sincerely be sad when a savory bowl of soup is no longer appealing. Fall and winter are definitely my favorite seasons to cook for.
i absolutely love the spring and fall!!
I love each season for different reasons. I love spring because of jellybeans and getting outside after months of hiding inside from the cold. I love summer because of the awesome road trips my husband and I take and because of fresh produce. I love fall because of cozy sweaters and walks through the pumpkin patch. I love winter because of warm, homemade bowls of soup and all the holidays when the whole family gets together.
Fall used to be my favorite but since I moved to the mountains I love summer. Winters are so long above 10000 feet.
I’m a big fan of Christmas. I love getting together with all of my family and getting to spend time with people that I only see once a year or so.
It’s usually a tie between fall and spring, but right now spring is winning. I can’t wait for everything to be warm and green and blooming!
My favorite holiday (so stereotypical) is Christmas! Decking my house out with lights makes me feel like a kid again. I just love the season and being with friends, family, and fudge!
I love Spring & Easter! So many reasons! Everything is sooo colorful and cute! I just found out about you ladies a few months ago. A family member had bought your book and was raving about it so I had to look you up! I’ve really been enjoying your website!
I love summer, when it’s light and warm and the dark, dreariness of winter is gone!
Picke me! Pick me! I don’t have a favorite season. It’s actually a tie between spring and fall. I love how the light changes in the fall as the leaves turn colors. But I also love watching the world come alive again in the spring.
My favorite holiday is Christmas! Everyone is so happy in December and a sort of peaceful feeling comes over the land. I love decorating the house, giving gifts, baking lots of treats, watching the sappy Christmas movies on TV, and especially listening to Christmas music. I could listen to Christmas music all year long!
I think Summer and Fall are both my fav! I love warm summer days, wearing flip flops, picnics… Fall is always so pretty tho! I love pulling out my cozy sweaters again, doing fall baking and Starbucks fall drinks! =)
I love spring when the air is fresh and everything is new and bright. I love the fresh produce and the energetic feeling of spring. Thanks for the chance.
i have been dying to get my hands on one of your cookbooks! my favorite season is spring.
I would love your new cookbook! I have the older one and I use it at least once a week!
I love summer! Long, warm days, the beach, and picnics!
My favorite season is the summer! I love the sunshine, pools, parties and barbecuing!
We live in New England and our favorite season is fall for our favorite tradition of apple picking at Tougas Farm in MA. My mother comes with us and missed a year while in treatment for cancer made the next year even more special.
Oops, totally forgot to leave my favorite season…. I love the Fall because of apple cider and pumpkin pie!
I love this blog and do not own either of the books yet. I just heard about the blog from a friend. I would love to get the book. I joined the LDS church three years ago and my visiting teachers told me about this blog! Love the church and the people!
Anytime between Halloween and Christmas – I love the colors, the smells and how it’s never too early to start baking treats!
I love fall, especially Halloween time! Dressing up with lots of candy and pumpkin treats, it can’t get any better than that!
I love springtime. It reminds me of carrying and delivering my two boys. Memories 😉
I would love to win one of your cookbooks! My favorite season is spring because it so nice spending time outside when it isn’t too hot or too cold.
Spring is my favorite season. The rains have usually ended, things are green and flowers are blooming and it isn’t over-the-top hot yet.
My favorite season is Fall. Halloween, apple picking, just enjoying the cooler weather.
I LOVE the fall! Can’t wait for it to come around again!
