Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I love July! I love celebrating the 4th with barbecues & picnics, spending time at the cabin with family and possibly packing up the kids & hubby for a road trip.
I just love Christmas. The excitement, the gift giving, the food, it just feels so good!
I love the excitement of spring. Those tulips poking out of the soil hold so much promise of things to come!
birthdays are a favorite here but I also love the fall season. =0)
I love 4th of July. Making a flag cake and trying to keep the kids awake till the fireworks show! 🙂
I love your first cookbook but haven’t gotten the second one yet. Thanks for the chance to win it before I finally get around to buying it! 😉
I LOVE Christmas, but my favorite season is fall!
Definitely summer! Kids are out of school, family trips, grilling and picnics!
It used to be summer, until I moved to Arizona. Now it’s definitely fall, which happens in about December here. 🙂
Summer! I would live in the pool, lake, ocean or river if my kids would let me! I love to grill and spend nights outside!
I love springtime when the world wakes up, it’s finally warm, and you can start to eat/play outside again!
Fall for sure
Thanksgiving. Its the only time my extended family gets together since we are spread out between various states.
I love Fall. The cooler weather, the colors of the leaves changing, enjoying and bottling the harvest from the garden, and SOUPS.
Thanksgiving! Mountains of food. A house full of friends and family. Could there possibly be anything better? My childhood memories are of Thanksgiving dinner at my Grandmother’s home. She had a large table which usually sat about 20 adults, her kitchen table sat all the kids (I still prefer this table), the kitchen counter was lined with all the pies and the sleds were parked outside. My rose-colored glasses see all my aunts and uncles, cousins, neighborhood family friends and friends who we only got to see once a year because they lived a distance away. I remember sledding down the hill in the cow pasture (yes, we’re hokey), my grandpa hitching up the team of horses to give us a sleigh ride… yes, I have very fond memories of a beautiful day surrounded by friends, family and FOOD!! BTW, your green beans were the hit of the meal this year. Thanks for making me look all awesome-like in front of all those people!
My favorite season is fall…its the starting of all the parties 🙂 I have your first cookbook and i LOVE it! Here’s to hoping to win the 2nd 🙂 love you guys.
Also my favorite tradition is reading you blog. Religiously. Number one fan, right here.
My favorite season is summer. I love being able to run around in the summer clothes and do all the things I’ve been dreaming of during the winter.
My favorite season is late spring. Flowers are blooming, temperatures are warming, grass is getting green and everything is coming alive again!
Love, love summer. Can’t wait for it to get here. Favorite holiday is Christmas, hands down!
Thanks for the give a way 🙂
I love Spring when the tulips and daffodils are just starting to sneak their way up from the dirt–sometimes even from under the snow! I love the symbolism of new life and a fresh start!
My favorite season is spring. I love seeing the blossoms and new growth after a long winter.
My favorite season is Fall but since my favorite holiday is CHRISTMAS, I may have to say winter is right up there with it. I love trying out new recipes and foods at Chrsitmas that I would not ordinarily try, so winnning this cook book would really be a treat. How exciting.
4th of July – we head up north to my husband’s grandparent’s place, sit on the beach, and watch the fireworks together.
I am honestly a sucker for any holiday or season. I love a good excuse to party. I would love to win a cookbook to expand my traditions.
My favorite season is spring! At least it is right now, when I’m starting to feel spring in the air :). Ask me in a few months and I’d probably say fall!
I love love Halloween, so I guess that my favorite season would be the fall. Something about the leaves turning colors, pulling out sweaters and starting up the fireplace again helps me to feel comfy.
My favorite season is fall – specifically fall in November. There’s football AND basketball. Thanksgiving AND (pre) Christmas. Warm days AND snowy days. Not to mention my birthday is in November…
Fall! It’s not too hot and you get to enjoy produce from your garden that you put so much love into over the summer.
My favorite season is definitely fall, although I’m always excited for whatever comes next! And I’ve asked for your cookbook for the last several birthdays and Christmases, and no one has gotten it for me, so I really hope I win 🙁
