Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
favorite holiday is Christmas, love making HUGE gingerbread creations!
Spring and fall are the favorite seasons but July 4th is probably the funnest holiday. We get together, make t shirts eat and campout in our sleeping bags and watch the fireworks.
I love summer, summer, summer and the light, fresh foods!
My Favourite time if the year is about after the kids have gone back to school after the Christmas break. We pull them out…all 6, and go away camping for a week or 2. It’s what keeps me going each year. Lol. Family time in the sun, nothing beats it. (Family fun in the snow comes pretty close though). X.
My favorite season is Spring. I enjoy fishing in the Spring and growing vegetables.
I love Christmas, but not the cold, so my favorite would have to be Spring with all of its new beginnings!
Fall – lots of holidays & birthdays around here!
I love summer. Long days, swimming, watermelons, sweet tea and NO SCHOOL! Its the perfect time of year!
Spring – I love seeing all my flowers start to come up & get the garden going.
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving! I love being with my family!
I LOVE Autumn! It’s so beautiful outside. It always feels so cozy and it’s my birthday!
I love the summer months. Where I live, the temperatures are perfect for summer entertaining on the deck.
Summer – I’m a warm weather girl!!
I love fall with all the colors and time to slow down and do some good cooking. More time indoors equates to more cooking.
Spring and Fall, it’s a tie!
My favorite holiday is Christmas and our favorite Christmas tradition is leaving reindeer food out for Santa’s reindeer to find their way. I mix oatmeal with glitter and put it in ziplocs for each of my three daughters. The girls get into their Christmas PJs and spread the “food” along our driveway for the reindeer. After that, it’s bed time and sweet dreams!
My favorite season is fall! I love everything about it: cooler weather, leaves changing, the North Carolina State Fair, football games, fun time with family for Thanksgiving…I could go on and on!
I love Christmas!! Decorate the christmas tree, the lights in the streets, the delicious food, the gifts and the whole family together!!!! 😀
Fall is my favorite. Love all the bright colors, cooler nights, but warm days.
My favorite season is Fall, when the weather finally cools down and I know I won’t have any more yard work to do until Spring! (except for blowing snow, of course)
No need to contemplate my answer to that question—Christmas is far and away my favorite holiday, and I anticipate its joys all year.
My favorite holiday is Thanksgivig, because it’s food, family, and fun without all the stress of presents!
Favourite season is summer, but favourite holiday is Christmas!
I love all holidays but my favorite is St. Patrick’s day. It is the day before my anniversary and I love corned beef.
My favorite season is Christmas. I enjoy our tradition of the whole family getting together on Christmas Eve for lots of good food and talk, and of course presents. Its my favorite holiday with the family.
My favorite holiday tradition from my childhood is that all of my siblings and I would spend the night together on Christmas Eve. It was great fun!!!! When we got old enough we would go to midnight mass before the slumber party. We kept this tradition up until we started having kids.
Christmas and Easter are my favorite holidays with Spring and Fall being my favorite seasons. I love everything pumpkin and apple. Thank you for all you do. Many Blessings.. Tammy in Alabama
