Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
Spring is the best! I love the feeling of renewal as the world comes back to life.
Favorite holiday is Christmas. I love to decorate, do a lot of baking and enjoy having family and friends over for dinners or parties.
Favorite season- Fall!!!
Summer, for the freshest fruits and veggies! Grilling them and yummy meats!
My favorite season is fall and favorite holiday is Halloween. I just love the fall colors and black and orange are at the top of my list. The air is crisp and clean, a wonderful time.
I love spring! But I also love fall. Anytime it’s not too hot or too cold:)
I love the time from Halloween to Christmas, three months three holidays!!! All are my favorite
90% of the time I say Fall is my favorite season – hand’s down…..but right now, I am really kind of enjoying Spring/Easter:) Looking forward to more sun – flowers – and bright colors!
FALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL…..I absolutely love all the vegetables, the scents of all the candles of the season (PUMPKIN, HARVEST SPICE, CLOVES, I could go on!!!) The colors (rusts, oranges, greens, mustards, browns!!) Just love everything about it!
I love fall!! It leads to Halloween, which is the first holiday of many in a row that I love!
Oh my favorite season is definitely fall … it’s when I get to start baking again, fresh apples, mmmmmm
Christmas season, yep the hole 30ish days of it. I love that “Christ” is everywhere and the goodies I share are appreciated with joy and thankfulness as I get to feel joy from sharing too.
Favorite season? Oh, Hands Down-it’s summer because it’s HOT! But my favorite tradition is making Pralines at Christmas to give as gifts and to eat ourselves.
Spring! It’s such a relief to see the sun and feel the warmth. Especially when you have small kids, it’s the best feeling to get out of the house and let me them run wild!
My favorite seasson is winter. Mainly because the stuff I’m allergic to isn’t out in full force, but also because it isn’t too hot to cook, I get to eat cozy things like bread and soup, and it’s the best time to snuggle with my cats and read.
I love New Year’s. New possibilities and reflecting on the year gone by makes me grateful for all I have. One of our favorite traditions on New Year’s is doing fondue while watching a video of the previous year’s happenings.
I love Spring and would love your cookbook!
Summer! Sweet cool treats, grilling, fresh produce, lake time, cooking gourmet meals on camping trips…just love it!
I would love to win. I love springtime and Easter. Love to see new birth in the landscape…and enjoy sunshine and warmth. Thanks.
That’s so hard…it is a tie between fall and spring!
We love to cut a fresh Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving. It is a great way to kick off the Christmas season.
Thanksgiving! All the family gathers for a traditional meal.
Well, the stars must be aligned today for me……because I REALLY want this cook book. *cross fingers*. My favorite season is a toss up between Spring and Fall. Not too cold and not too hot. Just right. ; )
I’m gonna have to go with Thanksgiving. It’s the most food centered holiday and I love food!!!! And OBB!
Every Summer Solstice we go down to the hot springs near a local lake & watch the stars. Oh, some good times have been had by the lake!!
I could pass on the snow and cold (mostly) but I do love the Christmas season. It’s so festive!
Spring! Because it can’t come soon enough!
I love spring! When the trees are budding and my magnolia blooms, then the lilacs, and then starting to plant lots and lots of flowers.
Hands down: Halloween! I love the holiday and Fall! That’s when I do my best baking, too!
I love summer – sun, pool, beach, all that. But I think my favorite season is probably the month of December – my daughter’s birthday (21st), Christmas, and our anniversary (New Year’s Eve). The whole month is warm and joyous!
