Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:

Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I have to pick ONE! =) Probably Christmas. The songs, the hot chocolate, the movies, and our new favorite tradition. Nativity Ring & Run. We deliver pieces of the nativity to a friend’s house. So special!
I love summer. I think 🙂 It’s winter now so I definitely love summer, but if you ask me in July I’ll probably say winter. I want to win!
My favorite season is summer! Living in Calgary, Alberta we get sun most of the year, but it is soooo cold through winter [which seems to last half the year] that summer is the glory time for me and my young family! Everyday is spent on the sand of our community beach, laughing, playing, and building sand castle! When winter seems too long to bare, I simply think about summer and feel so much better!
Summer! Homemade icecream, yummy salads, vegies from the garden, grilling, camping and picnic food….maybe its just because I’m tired of winter, but I do love the summer!
My favorite tradition is baking cut out sugar cookies for every holiday and having the kids decorate them
I love fall. Soups, stews and chili and everything pumpkin!
I love Fall but Summer is a good 2nd when it comes to seasons. However for Holidays my favorite is Christmas then Thanksgiving.
My favorite holiday hands down is Thanksgiving. All the delicious food, some of which you only eat that one time of year, Family and friends!! Perfection!!
Thanks so much! What a fun surprise that you’re giving away cookbooks! I saw you at Time Out For Women last year in Denver and I’ve wanted a cookbook ever since! (I’m the one who came up afterwards to talk to you and you emailed me some quotes you said). I LOVE Christmas! Even working retail hasn’t diminished that love! And I know they aren’t “real” holidays, but I love making big deal out of people’s birthdays!
Well, it used to be fall but now that I see Fall as a warning to Winter…it’s Spring because that means Winter is (almost in MT) officially over!
Fall is my favorite season. Pumpkin Bread is a must in my house when it is fall. I also love summer, so that I can garden!
I love your recipes and use them. My favorite holiday is Christmas.
I love spring! I love the fresh air and flowers!
I love all the seasons for their many diverse opportunities to try new things, especially recipes! Our favorite is probably thanksgiving because we started the tradition of eating dessert, particularly pie, first! That way you always have room for dessert!
Happy eating!!
I like the fall–apples, pumpkin bread, AND it’s the only time of year I splurge and go to Starbucks to enjoy their “fall” drinks.
My fave season is spring. The weather here in California is cool and everything is bright green before the hot hot summer sets in.
I love the Spring and Summer! Bring on the warmer weather!!
Oh and I love all of your recipes I’ve tried!!! Thanks for all you do!!!
Has to be summer. It’s the only time Scotland isn’t absolutely freezing.
My favorite season is fall! Best time of year for yummy baking!
I like Spring – when everything starts to turn green.
I love summer! Warm weather, playing in the water relaxed schedule, and good times with family!
I LOVE fall! I love Halloween — but not the scary, gory aspects.
I love fall. Soups on!!!!!!!!!
Fall! Having lived in the North East for 12 years, I still wake up every day and marvel at the beauty of the changing leaves.
My favorite season is definitely summer. I look forward to those long, warm, sunny days!
Spring is my favorite time of year!
Summer! Sun and warmth finally make it to the Pacific Northwest.
My favorite season is spring. I love the smells, the sights, the sounds…everything about it. A cool, crisp spring day is my ideal!
