Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
My favorite season is winter!
1200 comments already! That sounds like a banquet in itself! I have loved Best Bites since I found you guys last year and tossed you onto Pinterest. We have a lot of get together’s and of course the big one’s are Christmas Dinner and Thanksgiving.
My favorite season in the Northwest is Spring and Summer. We have the best and most beautiful 2 weeks of summer anyone has ever seen. *CHUCKLES* BBQ’s are wonderful here, we have a blast the 4th of July. I just love family get togethers and Best Bites do end up in quite a few menus.
My favorite season is Spring, everything starting to bloom again and it makes me feel renewed, I enjoy Spring more than any other season thanks for the chance to win your cookbook.
Fall – cool weather perfect for sitting around the fire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows 🙂
My favorite season is fall!! I love the cool temperatures and all the flavors that are associated with it…pumpkin, spice, etc.!!
Love your blog and recipes. Summer is the best with new fresh veggies and fruit fresh off the trees.
Oh and to barbecue,mmm
Love your recipes & pictures!
The Fall. I love the cooler weather (after a hot summer), the fall colors, the crispeness in the air, a fire in the fireplace and making homemade soups and chilis.
Yay! My favorite season is spring, the start of BBQ season without most of the bugs :p (of course we BBQ all year round but in spring/ summer/fall we tend to not freeze as bad.)
I love fall, because it’s all about pumpkin!!!
My favorite holiday by far is Christmas. I just love the spirit of the season and all that comes with it.
My favorite season has got to be spring! I love when it just starts to warm up and you can roll your windows down and see the bright flowers popping up:)
Halloween. We decorate the yard and the house and make special foods. It’s a fun time without the pressures of the bigger holidays.
I love love LOVE fall! I love the colors of fall, the crisp air, the anticipation of the holidays, and fall cooking!
Summer – A wee bit heat is soo good for my muscles 🙂
Christmas is my fav. Wish it comes more than once a year!!!!!!!!!
I love Christmas for long amounts of time we get to celebrate and have music and spend time with family…but probably one of my favorite FOOD holiday traditions is making Tomb rolls on Easter morning {marshmellow inside cinnamon sugar dipped roll} AND making rainbow jello on St. Patricks Day{with a rolo for a pot of GOLD and whip cream for a cloud}! I have wanted your books for sooo long! I really want the first cookbook and so sad I missed it at Costco! I hope I win!!!!!!!!!
Fall is my favorite, hands down!
It’s hard to pick, since there are such great things, and foods, with every season. I’d have to say one of my favorites though is summer – the produce is so yummy then, especially from the garden!
Aaah! This is hard! I love all the seasons, but I’m going to say Summer because I LOVE to garden, harvest fresh veggies and hang out outside!
It has to be summer. A little heat is goot for my muscles. 🙂
Definitely Autumn! When the weather turns crisp, it’s time to get out the BIG soup pot.
Spring. Definitely spring. Anything to announce that winter is over! 🙂
It’s hard to pick a favorite season, especially when you live in TX where it’s either chilly or HOT, but I love spring here because of the beautiful wildflowers and how everything becomes green again. But then I love fun in the sun during summer and swimming and BBQ, and then the cooler weather in autumn is fabulous …So hard to decide!
Fall!! Mmm pumpkin. And other warm baked goods and comfort food deliciousness.
I love putting nativities up for Christmas.
I love Halloween. The kids picking their costumes, the cooler temps, making fun treats like chocolate owls or pumpkin bread, and warm dinners like chili. The fun decorations. It is the perfect start to the whole holiday season!
I love Autumn.
My favorite season is fall because it brings back so many fun memories of my childhood.
I absolutely love Christmas! Spending time with family, tons of baked goods to gift, and a huge yummy Christmas breakfast. I love the music and lights on all the houses and snow covered roof tops. Sitting by the fire with hot chocolate in your cozy fluffy robe and slippers. I love Christmas even more this year because my boyfriend, of almost 9 years, proposed to me on Christmas morning with all my family!!! <3 Thank you for all your amazing recipes and inspiration!
