Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
fall
my favorite season is spring
I love the summertime! Camping, hiking, swimming, sunshine and barbeques!
I love the Christmas season. There is a feeling of love and caring in the air!
I love Christmas and the fun tradition of taking a picture in the wrapping paper after we’ve opened all our presents.
I love spring!! It’s when both my babies were born and everything is fresh and new!!
My favorite season is fall. Cause the weather is cozy and the food is comfy!
My favorite season is Fall, I especially love Thanksgiving 🙂
Summer is my favorite season!
I love Thanksgiving and all of the yummy, yummy food we make to go with it!
Love your recipes! Hope you pick me!
I like Fall when the weather begins to cool, but there are still some warm, sunny days.
Fall!!
Summer is my all time favourite season, love the heat and everything beautiful weather allows you to do outside.
The fall and Christmas are great times of the year. I just love them!
My favorite season is any season in which one can pull the plug when things just aren’t going right, choose an alternative, offer a giveaway and settle down with a bowl of ice cream! Good call…who needs the craziness?
My favorite season is summer, love the heat and the long days. Love picking fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden and using them for dinner
I love summer!
My favorite season is fall — I love wearing comfy sweaters, wrapping up in a blanket, siting in front of a warm fire, sipping hot apple cider and munching on delicious pumpkin bread. Perfect!
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving! I love everything about it. The food, the smells, the fall weather, family and friends. It’s wonderful!
I love Spring time because it’s not too cold or too hot and it has so many fruits and it’s the perfect time for being outside and having picnics!
Sara and Kate – my favorite season is Spring and favorite holiday is Easter…….A winning combination for many reasons! What beauty after wintertime.
I love spring with the freshness that the season brings. Nature begins to show it’s growth, people come out of their homes to enjoy the cool fresh air while out walking, the evening sun sets later. There seems to be an energy all around !
I love all the seasons but I probably love Spring and Fall the best, because of the new flowers in the Spring and Fall because of the produce that comes from the garden.
i love the hot summer nights with some yummy bbq and a fresh salad! just being outside by the pool with my family so fun!
Spring. I love daffodils and the hope and beauty that comes in spring. It is like rebirth with all the new life and fun holidays like Easter.
I love spring! I love the rebirth of everything; flowers, trees, starting a garden again, etc. I love the milder temperatures than summer. I love fall for the nice weather too, but it then means we are heading into crappy cold weather. Spring brings on nice things to follow. I also think you have every right to eat some ice cream and lick your sad corrupted memory card wounds. That’s has got to be frustrating!
Spring means sunshine, jelly beans, and flip flops. Autumn means changing leaves, Apple pie, and pumpkin everything. Couldn’t possibly choose – I love them both!
I love summer, when I can cook with fresh produce from my garden. Nothing tastes better!
spring – beautiful flowers and nice temps.
