Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I LOVE Christmas! I have been making candy for friends and neighbors for the last 30 + years. Every year I try new recipes and I have used many from OBB with great success! I would absolutely LOVE your cookbook–either one of them 🙂
Fall – because I really appreciate the cooler temps after a hot Texas summer!
P.S. I love Thanksgiving. Good food and lots of family. We also have a yearly tradition of going up to a sisters cabin and doing humanitarian sewing for the week. Last year we had waffles with your buttermilk syrup, good introduction.
I love the Fall. I love all the pumpkin treats, the scents in the air, and the fireplace burning…
I love fall! Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday too-that or Easter/Spring.
I love the Fourth of July. I love being with people I love to celebrate the birthday of our nation and remember those who came before us so we could be free.
My favorite season is Fall. I love Thanksgiving.
I love Christmas!! All the yummy treats
Pick a favorite season? That’s tough. I would have to say summer. Sun, family and BBQ’s! Can’t wait to try some new recipes from Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites!!!!! You guys rock!
My favorite season is fall and my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving!
I Love summer. I love all the fresh fruit and produce and my garden.
Love your blog and have been following for about a year, my sister and her daughters got me hooked. So many great recipes and good humor to boot. Have tried dozens and not a stinker in the bunch. Thanks so much!
I love Spring. He is Risen just says it all.
Living in AZ favorite season is an easy question….Winter! Its finally nice and cold and of course Christmas, my favorite holiday!
Favorite tradition – every year in December we go to a cabin in the mountains, rent snowmobiles and go hunt down our Christmas tree. Dont worry, we buy a tree permit to cut one down.:)
My favorite season is fall. I love the hint of a chill in the air and school beginning and Halloween. And I love all the comfort foods.
I love Fall. College football, crisp cool air, especially after a long hot summer here in the south.
Halloween because I love candy corn.
My favorite season is spring because that is when everything is green here in San Diego and also warm enough to go to the beach 🙂
My favorite tradition is eating Mexican food on Christmas. I’m not talking tex-mex I’m talking REAL Mexican food, or as real as you can get in America. It’s so much fun because it just makes you feel all nice and like you aren’t in a freezing cold climate all winter long. It gives you a nice break from soup and lets you have fun with salsa and finger food to dip in it like homemade taquitos.(That’s probably tex-mex but i don’t really care:D)
Hands down summertime!!!
I love Spring. He is Risen! What more can you say?
I love spring!
My favorite season is summer! I love outdoor s’mores and burgers on the grill with juicy fresh fruit like nectarines and strawberries! Oh and corn on the cob…yum! Today we had a snow day- can you tell I want summer?
I think my favorite season is Spring when it starts to get warm again and green appears again! I have to admit, though, I love each season for its own reason.
Christmas, so much to do! Cookie parties and all kinds of goodies..
Christmas…. The food, the family, the Reason for the Season!!!! I love it all!
