Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:

Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
my kids and i make s’mores in the backyard during summer. really, they just love setting marshmallows on fire.
christmas is my favorite, altho spring is my favorite season,, i really need your all yr round book!
My favorite holiday is Halloween. I never was allowed to really celebrate it growing up but really enjoy celebrating it with my kids! My favorite season is either fall or spring (the weather is nice without roasting or freezing). My favorite holiday tradition would be going to my husband’s dad’s side of the family’s Christmas eve celebration. Not for the presents, but for after everyone is done unwrapping the presents…it turns into a huge paper throwing fight! Everyone is just cracking up and having a blast…favorite part of the whole season!
Autumn. Hands down.
Easter is my favorite holiday tradition -we have a huge family gathering and eat homemade ravioli from my Italian great grandma’s recipe.
My favorite holiday is definitely Christmas!
Autumn is my favorite time of year….love cool crisp weather after a long HOT Texas summer, the crunch of leaves underfoot and desiring heartier comforting food!
I love the Fourth of July! And I love your recipes! Thanks for sharing and for the great give away!
My favorite season is spring time… When we finally come out of the cold winter and I can start to spend time outdoors again! I love watching things come back to life and our beautiful world become colorful again.
I would have to say fall…..definitely! I live in Phoenix Az, and man does it get hot here! I love that the weather cools down a little, but not so much that you need a jacket or sweater. I love all the fall colors too! BUT…..I would also say I love winter here too. I enjoy drinking hot cocoa with the kids, and bundling up in a warm blanket in my sweats. LOVE IT! It’s also a nice break from having to pay a crazy high electic bill like we do in the summer! Ha ha. Thanks for all the AMAZING recipes!
I love the fall and those delicious crunchy leaves!
One tradition that we’ve kept up pretty well is putting up our Christmas tree on the Monday after Thanksgiving. Thanks for the giveaway, and hope to see you back in business soon!
right now i am looking forward to my family’s st. patrick’s day celebration. i might even celebrate early, i’m thinking some dilly bread needs to be made this week!
Wow!! How exciting! Summer is my favorite season! And now that I know how to grill pizza on the BBQ, it only makes summer that much easier. Leaves me more time for the BEACH!!
My favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. I love getting together with my family, we always make tons of pies the day before.
I sooooo want one!!! Favorite Holiday is Halloween. I cant wait for my little one to be able to trick or treat!
I love the fall when the best of the garden is on and the heat dissipates a bit. And I love all of your recipes that use the treasures from said garden. Thank you!
My favorite season is spring. I love watching everything turn green and the beautiful warm spring days. After spending the winter months indoors it is great to be able to get outside and start planting. I would love your first book Mormon Moms in the Kitchen, it looks great. I love your blog and have tried several of your recipes all with great reviews.
I love every holiday. They all get my creativity on the move! My all time fave is christmas because everyone is so happy, and loving, so many cute movies. Kids are all wired and excited, you get to snuggle by the fire and watch christmas movies together. I look forward to christmas as soon as December 26 hits! I want more christmas all year! So I fill the gaps with all the other holidays by trying to recreate some of the christmas magic, through easter and all the others!
We don´t have drastic season change, so I think Christmas Holidays. I have a lot of chances to bake 🙂
Yay for ice cream! My favorite season is spring and summer! I love to go to the beach!

Summer is my favorite season. Or when living in Florida spring is best!
My favorite season is fall. I love apples, crisp leaves, and sweater weather! I have your second cookbook and would love the first one.
My favorite season is fall. I cools off just enough to wear a sweater and boots – my favorite. And the smell of the outdoors – DELICIOUS! Not to mention apples picking and pumpkin carving.
Fall! But all four have their highlights. I could never live somewhere without the change of seasons.
I love Spring! It’s my favorite time of year. And i would absolutely love to have one of your cookbooks!!
