Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.

-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.

Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I love celebrating my 5 kid’s birthdays. They all request my chocolate oreo 10lb. cake.
I love spring! Everything is beautiful and blooming. I am tired of being stuck indoors and the weather is perfect to be outside. Summer is too hot and it snows in the winter. Fall is nice but the colorful leaves last about a week and then it looks dead and ugly!
I love spring! It is so welcome after a long, cold winter.
Wow, what a great prize! My favorite season is spring but my favorite holiday is Christmas. I cook for about three days before Christmas Eve with desserts, ham, turkey, deviled eggs (72 or more halves), and all kinds of stuff, then on Christmas Eve my children, grandkids, brother and his family, niece and her husband, my ex-mother and father-in-law, current mother-in-law, and occasionally my sister-in-law and her family all come over and we eat and have family time.
I love the summer time. All the fresh fruit and veggies…yumm
Spring. Spring, spring, spring. I get a little stir crazy in winter and I love the new green and warmer weather of spring.
I love the fall. I enjoy the changing colors of the leaves and the cooler weather and getting ready for the upcoming holidays.
my favorite season is fall because the days are still a tad warm and the nights are starting to get chilly! Perfect time for light sweaters, roasting marshmellows, carmel apples, and changing leaves…
My favorite season is fall…I love the smells, comfort foods, colors…everything! My favorite holiday is Christmas! I love entertaining at Christmas, the decor, traditions, celebrating Jesus birth…love every minute of it…okay besides the stress of getting ready.
I would love to win a copy of your cookbook!
I love summer and everything about it. The green grass, blooming flowers, ripe tomatoes from the garden, and wonderful summer fruit. And then there’s long lazy days at the beach, swimming in the ocean and sitting by the surf reading a good book.
My favorite season is Spring. I feel like January should be in Spring because it represents new life! Yay!
Summer is great. Hot days, garden growing strong. Fresh garden tomatoes.
Grilling hamburgers, birds chirping in the mornings, cutting the grass, fresh squeezed
lemonade and strawberry daiquiris.
I can’t decide between Halloween and Christmas, I love both!
My favorite holiday tradition is having a “shepherd’s feast” with my 5 little girls in front of the fire on Christmas eve. We eat humus and pitas, olives, dried fruit, cheese and grape juice while my hubby reads the Christmas story from the Bible…..love it!
Summer!
I love the Christmas holidays – the hustle and bustle – love all of it.
Fall is the best for so many reasons…
My favorite holiday is Christmas and it is tradition that we always play the game “Mrs. Wright”. I love all the pretty lights, family getting together, and watching the faces of my granddaughters light up when they open their gifts.
Fall is my favorite. Crisp cold, hearty stews with freshly baked bread! Love it!
Our favorite family tradition is going to a local park here in South Carolina to listen to a symphony orchestra on July 4th, followed by a fireworks display. It’s so fun!!
I love your blog/newsletter. I have really enjoyed the tips and ideas for my kids and grandkids and for family events. I think this cookbook would make a GREAT addition to my collection. Thanks for the chance to win it!
I love SUMMER! Long days, warm nights, lazy days by the pool, grilling, popsicles! What’s not to love?
Summer! I love summer! I love the warm weather and that my kidos are all home from school with NO schedules :)!
I love love love Spring. The birds, flowers, sunshine… 🙂
I love Spring, because then I know Summer is coming!!
Summer is the best because it is actually warm! We also like to barbecue and we can’t do that in the winter up here!!
I love summer! No work for me because I’m a teacher. I get to eat breakfast on the deck and listen to the creek and the birds each morning. Lazy hot afternoons reading indoors where its cool. Dinner outdoors, sleeping with the windows open. Summer!
Summer, summer, summer…..the beach and bbq’s, fun in the sun and fruity summer drinks…oh and fresh fruit ice cream….Why we even need winter is beyond me…..
My favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day- I love to decorate everything in the home with hearts!
Since moving to Oregon I love the fall. The weather is nice, the rain is minimal and all the trees turn beautiful colors!
