Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
Spring! It’s almost here!
I love late summer/early fall when the garden is overflowing with goodness! I love all of the fresh veggies we are able to enjoy.
I love Christmas the most but Easter Season comes a close second!
I love Christmas & the wonder of seeing it thru the eyes of a 2 yr old.
I really like fall. I love being able to make soups and stews and have things for Thanksgiving that we typically only have once a year (like apple salad even though all the ingredients are now readily available all year).
My favorite season is fall!
I love fall and everything that goes with it…football, beautiful weather and scenery and getting ready for the holidays!! But right now I’m thinking spring has never looked more welcome!
My favorite Christmas tradition is eating vanilla ice cream with hot fudge sauce made from my great-grandmother’s recipe. It is the best part of Christmas dinner!
I love the summer!
I have wanted this cookbook for so long! Thanks for a chance to win it! – My favorite season is spring! I love longer, warmer days, being outdoors with the kids, and grilling!
Christmas is my favorite holiday
My favorite season is fall. I was just ooo-ing and ahh-ing over my friend’s copy of Savoring the Seasons today. It’s gorgeous! Really really hoping i win!!
any holiday that involves presents! LOL…. really I love all the holidays. they each mean different things to me. I just love to celebrate!
I love Fall. There’s nothing better than sweaters and cozying up by the fire with family. I also love the summer tradition of a bad manners dinner. If the kids have good manners at dinner all year, they earn a bad manners dinner outside where you can eat with hands, make a mess and have fun!
I love summer because I’m off work and can spend time with my kids!
My favorite season is definitely summer and going to Hilton Head Island for 4th of July!
I really love spring. Such a breath of fresh air to go play outside again without slipping, shoveling, or freezing 🙂
Fall is my favorite time of the year, and Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! I have your first cookbook, and have no idea why I haven’t bought the second one yet. Maybe I’ll win it!
Spring. Starts of warm weather and most of my kids birthdays are in spring!
My favorite tradition is our Backwards Day. On the last day of vacation we start the day with a cupcake and end the day with breakfast food. There’s just something special about it, and the kids love our tradition!
Christmas Eve. Hands down. We do fondue dinner. LOVE IT!
This looks great! I have your first cookbook and every time I make something from it for company, I usually have to pull it out so that guests can copy down the recipes. 🙂
My favorite season is Fall– it’s so dang cozy!
Hi! My very favorite season is the summertime! Nothing beats laying by the pool with family and friends, and our family’s huge 4th of July party. So much food and fun all day long, and then fireworks over the ocean at night. I’m super excited just thinking about it!
Fall is my fav!
My favorite holiday is Halloween, we have a big family meal and then go trick or\\ treating
I like Halloween the best, we have a big family fun night and all go walking around the neighborhood, getting candy and seeing friends and decorations
Christmas is my favorite season and baking with the grandkids (Goober and the Princess) is pure enjoyment.

My favorite season is autumn, but Christmas is my favorite day of the year. Each year we bake a cake using a Wilton gingerbread house cake mold and decorate it like a creche as Jesus’ birthday cake.
My favorite season is fall and tailgating before football games. You can make summer foods like wings and brats or comfort food like soups and stews. It all works.
I love that I live in Utah and get to experience all of the seasons. My favorite is fall. So many memories canning food from the harvest with my mom and sisters.
This is so difficult to choose! I have to say it is a tie for me between fall/Halloween and St. Patrick’s Day. I go crazy at Halloween with the smell of salty caramel, apples, and making my home spooky (in a good way of course..with a lot of glitter!). St. Patrick’s day, however, has always been such a great holiday that allows all of our friends and neighbors to come together and just CHILL. No agenda, no “rules”, just enjoying one another and dying our local river green 🙂
