Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:

Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I, honestly, love all of the seasons & look forward to each one equally! Spring – renewal and my boys and I run 5ks, summer – kids home, relaxing and outdoor fun, fall – the start of the holidays and lots of birthdays in my house, winter – Christmas, comfort foods and indoor fun.
My favorite season is usually Fall, but I’m expecting my third baby in just a few weeks and my second was born in April, so at the moment, Spring and Easter are my favorites!
My favorite season is fall. I love the optimism of a new school year, the beauty of the changing leaves, and that smell in the air. It all leads up to my favorite holiday….Thanksgiving.
My favorite season is fall and my favorite meal of the entire year is Thanksgiving dinner – yum!
PS I have & love your first cookbook so I’d love to add Savoring the Seasons to my collection. 🙂
I love spring when it just starts to warm up but isn’t too hot yet. Thank you for the giveaway! 🙂
My favorite holiday is Christmas because of all of the baking of goodies that I give away to family and friends!
My favorite holiday is 4th of July, because its summer, its always a family cookout and love the fireworks show.
winter is my favorite! rainy, cold, snowy times to snuggle down!
I love fall! And I love that food is usually always involved in traditions!
I love Christmas and my favorite tradition is the Bavarian Gherkin ornament hidden on the Christmas tree. Our kids are grown, but still love to find the ornament. I give the winner a new ornament for their collection.
Favorite family tradition: putting a lobster in the pot every year on New Years for a huge seafood extravaganza! : ) Favorite season is the fall!
I don’t know if the winter season is my favorite, but it does allow me to experiment with new recipes for my family of 9. The rest of the seasons are such busy times with gardening and other outside activities that I don’t allow myself much time in the kitchen when the weather is good 🙂
Early summer is my favorite as my gardens come into bloom and the earth feels fresh and renewed. Southern Minnesota just received a heavy snowfall so these thoughts of Spring arriving are THRILLING!!! OH YAY!!
Your books are so BEAUTIFUL!!! Best wishes to the winners!!
Joyfully…..~Sandie
I love Springtime! Winter in Utah seems to last forever and can be quite dreary in my opinion. But in the spring everything comes back to life and the temperature warms up and life is beautiful again!
Christmas is my favorite holiday because it’s all about family togetherness. A tradition we started when we got married 5 years ago is my husband bakes the pies for the holidays…that’s because he’s so amazing at making any kind of pie you want. They all turn out amazing. He’s incredible.
We have a birthday tradition in our family (3 young daughters) of letting them pick what they want for supper & what kind of cake they want me to make…. within reason! Love cookbooks- hope I win!
Spring is my favorite season because the newness of everything and it feels good after winter!
Memory cards are so annoying sometimes!
It’s a toss up between fall and the Christmas season. I think Christmas edges out fall by a hair bc I have kids and they get beyond excited for Santa and the whole deal 🙂
My two favorite seasons are spring and fall. I can’t just choose one! I love spring because of all the newness, the flowers, and the beautiful lush green grass. I love fall because it’s a wonderful change from our super hot summers here in CA; and our trips to Apple Hill.
Fall is my favorite season…the smell in the air, pumpkins, cooler weather, warm apple pies, soups…
My favorite tradition is making and decorating Santa Claus cookies with my children and now my grandchildren.
It’s impossible for me to pick a favorite season since there’s something to adore about each one, I’ll go with my favorite holiday-Christmas. I love the actual day and the festive weeks that proceed it.
My favorite season is Summer, I love the fireworks for 4th of July and all the fresh fruits and vegetables that come with summertime!!!
I am a fall girl!
I was going to say fall but after our snowstorm yesterday I am sooo wanting summer to come. Warm, sunny, trips to the cabin with my family…I could go on
My favorite season is spring. I love watching all the spring bulbs pop with color and checking the flower beds to see what survived the winter. It’s also before the weeds overwhelm the flowers and before the snakes and garden spiders come out! 🙂
My favorite holiday is Christmas. I love decorating my home with lights, snowmen, Santas and angels. I love the delicious foods- cookies especially. We have an open house for members of our church and it’s always fun to get ready for that. Over the years it has become less stressful, so I enjoy it even more. I would love to win one of your cookbooks!
Summertime is my favorite time, probably because it’s winter and I’m so ready to be done with it. But I am looking forward to playing outside with the kiddos and bbqing and going camping and doing all of that fun summertime stuff!
I love summer! I’m a warm weather gal!
