Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
Christmas…love the feeling of the whole season.
It is a toss up between spring and fall. I can always live without summer but do enjoy watching the snow fall (as long as I don’t have to drive in it).
I love summer. Swimming in the pool and beach, cooling off with popsicles. Grilling out. Plenty of sunshine.
It’s a you’re between fall and spring for me. Fall cools down from hot sticky Summers, and is perfect soup season and both seasons are that perfect temp where you can show off your cute sweaters without having to layer on a jacket. Spring is just warming up from the cold winter, everything smells fresh, you’re looking to grilling season and fabulous weather! And the colors of both fall and spring are amazing!
Autumn is my absolute favorite season (except when spring comes, then I’m tempted to change my mind to spring).
I love fall…soups, sweaters and the wonderful colors of the trees.
My favorite holiday is my birthday! Who doesn’t love a day that’s all about them?
favorite tradition is breakfast for dinner!
My favorite season is spring, the weather finally starts to warm up and love bbqing and gardening.
I LOVE summer! The sun, the warmth, the lack of a schedule with the kids…..ahhhh! I can’t wait!
I love the summer. All the kids in the neighborhood head outside to play together. All the Mom’s sit it the cul de sac, laughing, talking, and sharing. We will move around to get in and out of the shade as needed. It is so much fun and a great way to spend our time.
Right now, I’m loving Easter. Cadbury Mini Eggs, enough said.
Favorite holiday…HALLOWEEN!!! Murder Mystery Dinner parties with friends are the BEST!
My favorite season is fall, I love all the scarves and sweaters, and all the yummy fall flavors.
I love the fall. I love the harvest fruits and vegetables. I love the cooler weather and the pretty colors on the trees.
I love spring. It is the end of cold dark days and a reminder that summer is coming. I love to be able to cook soups, chilies, and stews for my family on cooler days and salads with rolls on warm days. I love the rain and flowers coming out and planning how my garden is going to look!
I love the summer especially 4th of July.
My favorite season is spring. I love all the colors of the season and Easter
I don’t think I could pick a favorite holiday. I love holidays!! Yummy Food and family traditions. Thankful trees and Easter eggs hunts. Gift exchanges and BBQ’s. I love holidays.

I lve Christmas and ll the family traditions.
My favorite holiday is Groundhog day! (I know…I’m strange) 🙂
My Favorite tradition is to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my kids. We don’t celebrate holidays Because of our religion so this is one thing we can all do together as a family. My husband and I still go out together as a couple but we also enjoy a separate celebration all together as a family exchanging gifts having cake and balloons.
Fall ! Autumn in Idaho is worth the wait!! Glorious!
I have to say Rosh Hashana is my favorite holiday. The traditions of the prayers, hearing the Shofar blow and knowing fall is soon to come is so heartwarming.
I adore you ladies and would love to be a winner.
Blessings to you both.
Fall is my favorite time of year. The weather cools down and bonfires are really fun! Also, it’s football time – tailgating!!
Autumn is my favorite. I love the cool, crisp weather. I also am usually craving soup and squash by this point. I also think Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Good friends and less stress than “family” holidays!

Fall is my favorite season!
My favorite season is fall. I love everything about it: the weather, the colors, the food, etc!
I would have to say my favorite season is fall. One of our family traditions is to take a beach trip the end of September. In the south, I believe it’s the best time to go to the beach. It’s not to hot, just pleasant enough to spend time on the sand and in the water. Our favorite beach food tradition is Pineapple spread sandwiches. They make a quick refreshing lunch.
