Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I love summertime! Nice warm weather, long days and staying up late!

My favorite season is fall. Love everything about it! And for holidays . . . I love them all. 🙂 I especially love birthdays and Christmas and Easter and Thanksgiving . . . okay, I love them all!
That’s a tough question! I think I like whatever is coming up next the best. I love Christmas but at this time of year I can hardly look at pictures of decorated trees or candy canes. I am SO ready for Spring!
I love summer and preparing nice, light dishes to eat outside on the deck in the warm weather.
My favorite tradition is the meal we have on Christmas Eve. We always have lamb for the main course and peppermint ice cream and hot fudge for dessert.
Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons, but a family tradition that is on my brain is our Valentine’s fondue night. My two kids with their faces drooping in chocolate, dipping every fruit and treat we can think up at our house and loving every minute. Traditions are what make kids come back when they are older.
Love the summer and fall!
I love Christmas! There’s a special feel in the air. And–there are always yummy goodies around! 🙂
My favorite season is definitely the Easter season. There are a number of foods that we cook only during that season and I always look forward to them, particularly Pascha, a sweet Russian cheese.
My favorite tradition is birthday dinners–having the child’s favorite foods, no matter how hard to make or find, on his/her special day. Usually giant homemade ice cream cakes (another family tradition from generations back) accompany the meal!
Summer!
Hope things settled down for you. A bowl of ice cream can solve a lot of problems. Make it chocolate and you can fix the world! lol
Thanks for the giveaway.
Turns out . . . everyone wants a cookbook! I’m going to try a new tradition this St. Patrick’s Day that has to do with trapping a sneaky little leprechaun who visits our house.
I love Christmas. The snow. The music. The decorations. And baking. Yum!
My fave season is the Spring (great weather & more time to spend out doors grilling with family).
I love fall! The smells, the air, the food. the clothes…everything! thanks for the chance to win!
I love fall because of the harvest and beauty. Thanks for the chance to enter.
Christmas is my favorite holiday. Spring and fall are my favorite seasons.
My favorite season is fall into Thanksgiving! If I don’t win, I think I will buy your cookbook anyway!
Lucky for us (but super sad for you) that things didn’t go as planned today. 🙂 I just made the Italian Meatballs tonight and made a double batch for soup tomorrow, YUM. Would love your second book, everything I have made out of the first is amazing!
My favorite tradition is setting up the Christmas tree with my family!
Spring and getting my hands in some dirt!
Love your books!
pick me..pick me!
