Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I must say that my favorite holiday and season must be Christmas and Winter, with strings of beautiful lights around the house and the huge lunch that you eat till your tummy hurts and you have to unbutton your jeans and the mugs of steaming hot chocolate and floating marshmallows. Ah getting all giddy just thinking about it 🙂
I love the fall season and the Jewish holidays that come with it. Family traditions, the food, the weather- all of those just do it for me!
Fall is defnitiely my favorite season- pumpkins, apple picking, Halloween – the list can go on . . . .
I already own both cookbooks, but would love to win won to give to my dear friend. I’ve been wanting to buy the book for her as a going away present anyway. Our Best Bites cookbooks are my go-to gifts for all friends. I think my favorite season is fall. I usually started to get excited for Halloween around May.
Thank you for the amazing giveaway. I love all the little extra’s you’ve included in the recipe book, it looks like you put a lot of effort and thought into it.
I love Easter. My Mum, sister and I make hot cross-buns after the egg hunt. The whole family sits down and we eat them straight from the oven with butter.
Summer! I love the long days, the beach, the pool, juicy summer fruits, refreshing frozen treats, BBQs and cocktails! I also love wearing flip flops and having reason to paint my toenails, and even though I’ve been out of school for a long time, I still get excited when my kids go on summer break (although the novelty tends to wear off once summer camps are over and they are home all day, lol)
Summer is my favourite season by far! Love the sun, longer days, going to the beach and the kids are home from school so lots of family time!
Spring! I can get back into the garden. I love asparagus, greens, peas, rhubarb, etc. It’s so good to get back to digging in the dirt.
One can never have too many cookbooks!
I would love to win a cookbook and try some of your recipes. I would say my faves are fall nd winter because that’s when I get to eat me some ham and turkey. To me, those are comfort foods.
I love Christmas!!
I love the summer. I love all the fresh ingredients and being outside to eat good food is the best
Favorite season is so easy! SUMMER. Living in the pacific nw, it’s a short season but so so loved. Warm weather & sunshine! Ahhhh. I love it. We usually have a camping trip or ocean trip planned with my husbands family and its a wonderful time away for it all! But really, any warm &/or sunny day is rare.
Yay for this giveaway!! Fingers doubly crossed 🙂 My favorite season is the summer…complete with camping, fishing, sunbathing and BBQ’ing!
I love, love, love Fall!!! Everything about it from sweatshirts, leaves changing colors, pumpkins, the holidays, and nourishing soups. I look forward to it, and always wish it would last longer.
Well, just because I’m having one of ‘those’ days, too, I’m going to say all three: winter (yes, winter), Christmas, and I love our new tradition which started last year of going to Golden Corral on Thanksgiving. Hmmm. I think I’m in a strange mood right now. Maybe I need some ice cream, too.
Fall is definitely my favorite! Love the colors, the weather, and the food.
my favorite season is fall and favorite holiday is christmas. [lyndagp at gmail dot com]
I like autumn the best because it’s quiet and autumn-y and peaceful! The leaves changing color are perfect.
I love summer! The warm weather, BBQ’s, going for walks everything! Best time of the year!
Autumn! Crisp air, life slowing just a bit, everyone at home, earlier dinners, not too hot to fire up the oven for apple crisp or pumpkin cobbler. Perfect!!
New year’s eve is my favorite family tradition. We play games all night long and feast on shrimp and cheese ball.
My favorite season is fall. Not too hot and not too cold.
Summertime is my favorite! Ribs in the grill, roasted sweet corn, salad and a home made pie…delish!
I love Christmas. My family has ancestors from Sweden, so we do a family tradition of celebrating St. Lucia day. On December 13th, we have hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls and open one gift.
I love winter and the holiday season. But really what I love is all the prep for it from Thanksgiving to December 24th is my favorite time
I love New Years. We have a party every year that includes cheese and chocolate fondue and lots of games. Fun for every age!
I loooooooove SUMMER! I’d rather sweat than shiver. For. Sure.
Thank you, ladies!
I’m not a fan of the christmas season, but I DO love the tree decorating tradition my father started. Each of his ornaments is different and represents some phrase or scripture or symbol from the Bible or Book of Mormon. Things like a little loaf of bread for Jesus being the ‘Bread of Life,’ or a Star of David, that sort of thing. When we identified the symbol correctly we could put the ornament on the tree. It became one of my most treasured slow-down times with my Dad during the busy holiday season.
My favorite tradition is our annual pumpkin carving day….everyone brings a Halloween or some kind of spooky food!
