Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
summer
My favorite is St.Patrick’s day.
My favorite season is springtime. Many reasons why I love spring: (1) TULIPS; (2) the hope that spring brings for everything; (3) warmer weather; (4) HOPE!
I am a four seasons type of girl. I need every one of them to be truly happy 🙂 although I would prefer that fall and winter last a little bit longer than spring and summer 🙂
I love the spring…flowers blooming, the weather warming up, the extra daylight. I can feel the sunshine now!
I love Spring. Pretty weather, planting garden, finishing up school,, flip-flops and shirt sleeves, sunshine and flowers, birds singing in the mornings, green leaves on the trees, picnics, etc.
What a fun surprise giveaway! I have your first cookbook and Have had your second on my WishList for every holiday but my husband doesn’t seem to get the hint 😉 My favorite family tradition is called Secret Cupids. It is where we draw a member of the family and do anonymous nice things for them the entire week before Valentine’s Day. It makes the holiday more focused on love in general rather than sappy romantic love.
I have to say that I love both spring and winter. Winter for its cosy atmosphere, and Christmas markets/food. But also spring and that rebirth kind of atmosphere that sets in and the fresh air and feeling that anything is possible now 🙂
Fall is my favorite season. . . great camping weather!
My favorite holiday is Halloween. It’s all about fun!
You are awesome…our fav holiday is Halloween. Our family does trick o trunk with our community and bbqs and doughnuts. Would love one of your books.
I love Christmas Eve. We do a appetizer dinner where we all hang out and just eat. I love trying new recipes for my family.
I love fall. Going for walks in the autumn crisp air. Seeing all the beautiful trees changing colors and family getting together for Thanksgiving. I love the foods from this time of year also.
Fall!!
I love summer – warm weather, long days, lots of fun trips and plans to look forward to.
My favorite season is fall. Would love to win one of the cookbooks and boy do you have a lot of comments on this post!
My favourite season is definitely Spring! It makes me think anything could blossom…
I love fall! The beautiful colors and cool crisp air!
My favorite holiday is Christmas. I specifically enjoy the whole Advent season because of the intimacy it brings between friends and family–all of the get-togethers, thoughtful gift exchanges, days in the kitchen baking, and cuddling up to get cozy.
We celebrate the Feast of Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve with shrimp, scallops, baked haddock and other delicious seafood. Another family takes turns hosting with us and it is a wonderful time for food, fun, and friendship.
I would have to say my favorite season is Spring because the weather is getting nice and I can finally get out and start gardening again.
Summer – sun, vacation and my favorite fruits and veggies are in season
Christmas is my favorite season…so many family traditions and fond memories.
I love spring. I can’t wait to get out in my garden. Looking forward to fresh vegetables!
My favourite seasons are spring and autumn, when nature either comes out of its slumber, all fresh and vibrant, and you hunger for fresh fruits, salads and barbeques in the sun; or when it quietly starts to go into hibernation, when the air gets a little colder and you start looking forward to warm, stodgy, comforting foods and soups.
I think I enjoy every season, food, colors, flowers, snow… but I’m sure that Christmas is my favorite holiday!! Loooove Christmas ^_^
My favorite season is salt.
Every season I like, but the most that I really like is SUMMER! Especially in our place, Winnipeg where most part of the year is cold…brrrr…. Love the sun, days spent in the park and pools with my family :)) Love picnics too…be it in the park or just in our patio! Love BBQ and everything about summer!
I love the food and traditions of Thanksgiving but it is the preparation leading up to Christmas I look forward to the most! Coordinating the gift wrap with the tree decorations, thoughtfully choosing gifts for family, planning the menu(s) and decking the halls; and I really appreciate that it’s socially acceptable to eat cookies everyday in December!
Thanksgiving. Good foood, and family.
