Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I love Thanksgiving with all the family time, the focus on gratitude, and no pressure to buy gifts.
I love fall. Here in central Texas it’s not a ‘knock-you-eyes-out’ season, but there is fall color, and the air cools and it’s time for soups and stews, my favorite foods. Cooking seems more appealing after the heat of summer. I enjoy your website very much.
I love Easter! The pastel colors, the egg hunts that always seem to be a wash-out from spring rains, chicks, bunnies, ducks and lambs! Cuteness overload!
I love summer! I love the weather, being able to BBQ, and the 4th of July! Summer is the best 🙂
Fall is my favorite season, but I love Christmas candy making!
Favorite holiday is christmas. I would love to win a cookbook.
I love the fall! It has the best holidays Halloween and Thanksgiving!
Favorite tradition (because I can’t pick a season, I love them all!): Every Black Friday I go shopping and pick-up a new set of Christmas PJs for my 3 kids, then we put the tree up later that day. That night I place the PJs under the tree, sent from Mrs. Claus… in the morning the kids wake up to find their new gigs for them to use through the season. They love it and I cherish it!
I love Christmas time! everyone seems to be a little bit nicer then! but my favorite season is summer! I LOVE warm weather!
Every Christmas morning after I was ten, I made crepes for my family. When I go home for Christmas, I still do it. This year, was the first year I missed it because I was with my fiance’s family across the country. It was tough for me, I really missed the whole experience. I am told my mom made crepes, but they were not as delicious.
I love the fall! Thanks for the giveaway. You ladies are amazing and inspiring!
Spring! New growth, garden planting, fresh air…..the list goes on & on!
My families New Years Eve tradition may even be better than Christmas. We all gather at my parents home (10 siblings with spouses, 35+ nieces and nephews). My parents basement is FULL of dress-ups, old clothes from the centuries. We ALL dress up – as crazy or simple as you feel. Turn on music and dance our way into the New Year with sparkling cider, confetti, noise makers and such. Great laughs, hilarious dancing, and memories that will last me forever. The best is the morning after and the confetti that is strewn throughout the whole house.
Halloween – made your tulle wreath this year!! My kids and I LOVE Halloween & have tons of decorations!! I actually have your cookbooks but I have a good friend who is going through a really awful divorce and she was admiring your cookbooks last time she was over – I am entering hoping to win one for her! 🙂
I love Autumn…all the cinnamon & pumpkin spiced recipes and the autumnal colors!
For food, my favorite season is fall. I love all the fall flavors and aromas. Yum!
hot chocolate and donuts on christmas morning!!
My very favorite season is fall. I love everything about it: the cooler weather, leaves changing, football, bonfires and wearing boots!
Summer for sure!
Love fall and all the fun things that go with it.
Can my birthday count as the best holiday? Sometimes it lands on Labor Day….
Actually I love fall. That’s when it finally starts cooling off and it’s not 105+ every day. (AZ).
Oh, and I’m sorry your post didn’t work out for you. But I am excited for a chance to get your Season’s book!
I love all the seasons, because I NEED change! But I have to say after a long, cold winter, SPRING is looking like my favorite! Running outside(for exercise), my kids being able to play at the park again, and gearing up for starting my garden! It is very exciting! Love your website! And I would love to have your cookbook! Thanks for all your hard work! 🙂
… well … winter’s best for me. Inside, toasty warm, cookin’ and bakin’ & full of “warm-fuzzies” …
I love fall! Love the cooler temperatures and everything pumpkin.
Definitely fall! I love the cool down after a hot summer, fall festivities and of course, looking forward to Christmas!
