Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:

More importantly what happen to your memory card?
Since it is upon us, I am really enjoying the Easter season. My daughter and I decorated the house last night, and we love dying eggs together. It is such a season of renewal and awakening, and it welcomes Spring which is never a bad thing!! Thanks for the chance at the cookbooks. I have your original one, and I just LOVE it and your website. Thanks so much for all that you do!
Spring! I am craving sunshine and blossoms!
My favorite season is spring time because I can do so much outside with my kids and the weather is just right 🙂
Fall is my favorite season! I love the colors and the crunchy leaves!
I am grateful I live in an area in Arizona that has 4 real seasons of the year. Yep. Such a place exists in Arizona. I love all the seasons, but if I had to pick my favorite it would be fall. I love the colors and the beautiful weather and this year it was particularly long. Nice. It also ushers in my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I love the fall season: the cool weather after a hot summer, the leaves turning, & anticipating the holidays.
I love Thanksgiving, we go to Disneyland then cook a huge meal that weekend. Tons to be thankful for–always.
Fall is my favorite time of the season. People tend to be nicer and time with family seems to be a priority for most people. Playing indoor games like game boards are always something to look forward to in our family.
I really like summer. Longer days, sunshine, veggies from the garden, relaxing days to do lots of fun stuff!
It’s a toss up between fall and spring. I love them both.
My birthday! And its next week! March is pretty awesome too cause of March Madness!
This year I officially decided that my favorite season is fall. Warm soups, fuzzy sweaters, crisp leaves…. gotta love it!
I love fall. It’s cooler but still warm and the colors are beautiful!
My favorite season is Christmas. I tried the Chinese Orange Beef recipe last night for dinner. It was very good. Thank you!
My favorite holiday is Christmas. It is so hard to choose a favorite season, they are all so wonderful in their own right!
Summer!!!! I love to grill, boat, and watch fireworks with my loved ones 🙂
When my parents were first married and starting out, they didn’t have a lot of money. For Christmas Eve they made homemade pizza. Nothing fancy, but something they enjoyed doing together. Flash foward 40+ years, 3 kids, 2 son-in-laws and soon-to-be 6 grandkids, and we still do the traditional homemade pizza at Christmas Eve. Its something we all look forward too. In fact, both my sister and I make homemade pizza regularly, but there is just something about taking the time as a whole family to come together and remember how it all began.
Yae a giveaway! I’m crossing my fingers…
My favorite season is definitely Fall. Beside watching the trees changing colors during weekly drives up the canyons in Utah, its football season! We are huge college football fans at our house, so anytime its Utah football season, its our favorite time of year. Go Utes!
I love everything about the Fall!!!
I love the fall. Just wish it lasted as long as winter.
My favorite season is whatever seanson in next. By the time Winter is winding down I am ready for Spring to begin and to get back outside and my garden started. By the time Summer is winding down I am ready for the cooler weather and changing colors.
My favorite season changes depending on what time of year it is: by the end of a cold snowy winter, I’m about ready to weep with joy when I see spring buds on the trees. By the end of a hot summer, I love the crisp, cool days of fall. I love summer BBQ’s and cozy winter evenings too, so really it’s a toss up.
I love Summer. I was born and raised in Southern California and now live in the Midwest. The winters can be tough on me and I really miss the beautiful California sun. It is a great time to spend time outside and do fun things with our 2 wonderful kiddies. Also, I can’t help but love summer because my birthday and wedding anniversary are in June and July. 🙂
I would love a new cookbook!
I absolutely adore apple picking during the fall here in Michigan!
I love Halloween time! I love the colder weather, the funky colors, the supernatural, everything about it! Thanks so much!
my favorite holiday is probably easter, because every year i am LOOKING FORWARD to the snow melting!!!!! And of course it is another opportunity to teach the children about our savior 🙂
We love summer around here. The sun, warm air, cooking on the grill and all the fresh foods available right out of your own backyard! Oh and did I mention the SUN! 🙂
My favorite season is Christmas. I love the festivity and family traditions. In contrast, Halloween runs a close second!
