Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I absolutely love summer!!! I love spending time outside in the hot weather, swimming, long lazy days, fresh food from the garden! Love everything about it (except how short it is!)
My favroite season is summer for sure. Low stress and my kids our home with me!
My favorite season is summer. I love the late nights, the heat and especially the cool foods! Salads, fruits, fresh bright flavors and BBQs!
I love Spring when everything starts to come alive!
I love the spring time!
I would say Fall is my favorite season but I also like Spring.
Summer is definitely my favorite season! I love the sunshine, swimming, BBQ’s, campfires, and all the family time! I can’t wait to see how my baby girl reacts to getting into a swimming pool for her first time! 🙂
My favorite season is springtime. I enjoy the bearable weather outside so we can relax and take walks.
I like St. Patricks Day. Every year we make corned beef and cabbage and invite a family that’s never tried it. It’s great to get to know people and see if they like it or not.
My favorite season is winter. I love baking cookies for Christmas! Thanks for such a great giveaway!
Would love to have more cookbooks for the numerous wedding showers I’ll be going to this year! I make sure all of my friends have your books! My favorite season is fall, with the leaves and the pumpkins, and the holidays coming up, but not here yet 😉
I love spring! And I can’t wait for it to be here! I love to take my girls to the park and let them play for hours. The weather is warming up, the blossoms are appearing. It’s just beautiful!
My favorite holiday is Christmas!!
I love Fall! I love the chill in the air and the kids can go out and play.
I love Christmas time. My wife makes the best goodies around this time.
I love Christmas even if I do get a little overwhelmed with trying to have something perfect for each person to eat and as a gift.
Winter is my favorite. I love all the warm foods desserts and drinks that can be made with the different wonderful spices that make the whole house smell yummmmi =)
I love the fall, just starting in on all the good holidays and in Arizona, its only 90 degrees instead of 120.
My favorite season is Spring. I live in Texas where summer means dozens of 100 degree days that force everyone to retreat inside to the comfort of air conditioning. But Springs are beautiful – pansies are in full bloom, the mosquitos have not come out but the bunnies have and I can sit on my patio watching my kids and my dog run around the yard together knowing more time spent outside is less time spent inside tearing my house apart.
My favorite holiday is July 4th! Being from the northwest, our summers arrive late but we can be reasonably sure to have a beautiful 4th of July! We start early by attending the lame but folksy independence parade in front of the Coeur d’Alene resort and then finish off the day with boating and a family BBQ at my sister’s place on the lake. Everyone brings their favorite offering–mine is Baked Creamy Chicken Taquitos from your first recipe book. Being able to access your website from Romania got me through cooking for missionaries! Thanks for that and many laughs along the way!
Yay! But, picking a favorite season is like making me pick a favorite child! Please don’t make me choose! 🙂
My favorite season is summer! Going to the lake, wearing shorts, endless smoothies and ice creams! I just LOVE summer!!
My favorite holiday is thanksgiving! my girls and I cook, watch teh parade and just have family time together!
I love Fall! Pulling out my sweatshirts and jeans after a summer in the 100s makes me giddy. I thoroughly enjoy baking bread and making soup. And getting cozy with a good book curled on the couch under a blanket!
Spring or fall tie for first for favorite seasons and the best tradition we have is caroling to friends on christmas eve with a tray full of goodies.
Being a college student, nothing is greater than going home for Christmas. Christmas morning breakfast is always the best. Homemade Hot Chocolate, Cinnamon roles, Canadian bacon and eggs. There is nothing better than spending time with the family! skiing is pretty great too!
I just love summer time, because it is warm and I love that feeling of the sun warming you up.
Fall has always been my favorite season. As a first grade teacher it was a fun time for all of the activities we could tie into teaching. Such excitement for “fun” ways we could make learning meaningful!!
I love fall for so many reasons! I love the seeing my family, and the whole lead up to the holidays. Oh, and the FOOD!!!!!!! Pumpkin pie, apple cider, gingerbread. Oh my goodness.
From this vantage point – summer!! We can go outside and not wear socks EVER. So no washing, pairing, hunting for, finding in strange places . . . yeah, summer.
SO SORRY about the corrupted memory card. That truly, truly stinks. If it’s any consolation, I think you’ve made your readers happy anyway. 🙂
