Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:

Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
Halloween hands down. I think my mom rubbed off on me, it’s her favorite holiday too. Plus, you cannot get a more beautiful/perfect season than Fall!
We love Christmas time at our house. We love to to make things and together as a family and there seems to be a lot of extra family time which we love during this season, not mention that my birthday is Chirstmas– it is a wonderful time of the year.
My favorite family tradition is making empanadas. My Chilean grandmother taught my mother, who taught me, and I have taught my children. I make the meat the day before, then gather the kids once the dough is ready. We put on some Chilean music, get out our aprons, and we all have fun rolling out the dough and filling the empanadas. It is a lot of work- and the empanadas are so good that they get eaten very quickly, but it is a memory I want my children to have. I always remember my grandmother and mother when I make empanadas.
Since this is a food blog.. my favorite food season it Fall. I LOVE soups and yummy baking smells that go with it… bread, pumpkin yummies!! LOVE your blog!!!!!
Although I’m pretty excited for spring to come, I’d have to say my all-time favorite season is fall.
My favorite season is fall/autumn. I love the crisp weather after the hot, hot summer.
I would love your new savoring the seasons book! Summer is my favorite season where I can lay in the sun and relax!
My favorite holiday is Christmas…family, food, tradition, and celebrating my Savior!
My favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day. I’ve always loved it, especially when I was little.
I love Spring. A few weeks ago my kids pointed out the “popcorn popping” in our backyard already and I LOVE it! I love spring colors, the fact that it’s warm enough to go play at the park, and celebrating by baking springtime cookies and cupcakes! (Just wish allergies didn’t accompany this gorgeous season) 😉
I love the fall. I love cooking soups and stews. And the way my home smells with all the baking and cooking that I love to do.
Some of our favorite traditions are waffles with berries on Christmas Eve, Prime Rib Roast on Christmas Day, and all the “stinky cheese” my husband loves on New Year’s “Football Watching” Day!
Summer is my favorite because we love the outdoors, camping, fishing, rock climbing and so on. This summer we are going to try Dutch oven cooking!
I love cooking for the holidays, that is what I love! I love decorating cookies with my kids and I love giving food as gifts. I love making cucumber salad in the summer. I check here first for any recipe I want. I love you girls!!!
I simply love Spring! I love the colors, the temperature and coming out of the depression of winter!
Christmas is my favorite holiday, but Spring and Fall are my favorite seasons. It’s hard to pick one season because they both offer wonderful things. Thanks for the give away!
In the winter, I can’t wait until Spring and in the Summer I can’t wait until Fall. I love the moderate seasons!!
My favorite season would have to be summer. Living in rural Alaska we pretty much only have two seasons-winter and summer. In the summer you get to see all the tundra that has been covered for 9 months by snow. It is the best time to do subsistence hunting and gathering.
As a Michigander, I love summer – the beaches, forests, and going up north. But for a holiday tradition, I loved waking up Christmas morning to find a smiley-face pomander at the top of my stocking. Now I’m the stealth pomander-making santa.
I love Thanksgiving, because it has all of the good food and family togetherness but none of the stressful gift-giving obligations.
I love Christmas and it seams that they just keep getting better.
I love Christmas time; I love making and receiving all kinds of fun desserts for/from neighbors. I also love being with family and friends for the Holiday season. What could be better than family/friends and food:)
my favorite season is summer, because I love to wear flip flops and my boys love to swim.
I grew up in Arizona, but currently live in Kansas. My favorite season definitely has to be fall because I never got to see it growing up. The colors are amazing!
I love Spring because of all the newness that comes with it. And I love Autumn because of the colors. But my favorite holiday is Christmas both because of what it’s about and because there are so many great family traditions associated with it.
I love spring! After a long winter it will feel so good to be outside again!
I love love fall/Halloween, the best thing in the world is seeing all the different colors and the crisp air. Plus, I love to dress-up.
I love Christmas!
I love baking for all the seasons and especially holidays!
My favorite holiday tradition is eating heartily and taking a solid nap. Cheers!
