Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
My favourite tradition is making my grandmother’s St Nicholas Cake every Christmas!
Not gonna lie, right now being *this close* to the end of Winter definitely makes SPRING my favorite season!!
My favorite season is spring. Everything is coming back to life and the blossoms are unbeatable.
While there are things I love about all the seasons, autumn is always my favorite. The food, the colors, the crisp bite to the air after the heat of summer, the activities and holidays, the excitement of back to school (both from years ago when I was in school, and that my kids now have to get back to school). I just love it!
My favorite Season is always the one we’re in!
Hands down…it’s autumn!
I love Christmas.
Fall is my favorite season. I love the crisp air, the autumn colors inside and outside the house, the scent of baking apples, tantalizing soups, falling leaves, rainy book days, and the beginning of the holidays season.
I love Christmas!
My favorite season is Spring. The weather is warmer, but not uncomfortably hot and it is the season that Easter falls in. Easter brunch has always been one of my favorite family meals. We always have a huge spread of egg casseroles, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, and fresh fruit. I love it!
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! I love the food and the time with family.
Fall. No more worrying about that blasted yard, cool weather, and pumpkin!
The first thing I would make are those strawberry cupcakes on the cover and try to coax Spring!! That could work right?
But, hands down I’m a Fall lover and living in Southeast Idaho is a delight in October, which is also my birth month 🙂
And if I don’t win, I’m buying them up 🙂

I really love autumn. Pulling out the slow cooker, crunching in the leaves, and wearing sweaters. Thanks for having a fabulous blog. I use it all the time.
Love Christmas! And New Years, always lots of family and love! Would love a new cook book, especially our best bites 🙂
My favorite season is summer! Fresh from the garden produce and sunny, warm weather!
I love fall, because not only is the weather perfect, I get to bake with all my favorite spices and flavors. In other seasons, it’s not really appropriate to hit food with the earthier spices and flavors, but in fall I get to bake with pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg to my heart’s content!
Fall is my favorite season, but since here in Tennessee where I live we are about to say good-bye to grey old winter and hello beautiful dogwood and redbud spring, not to mention daffodils tulips and all the other beautiful flowers AND the sun!!!! I’d have to say right now it is spring. :0)
I love spring, but anytime we are in is great!
Spring is definitely my favorite season! Not too cold, not too hot and plenty of outdoor time as we thaw out from winter! I’m already planning my first picnic with friends and getting the bbq ready to be fired up! Mmm, can’t wait!
My favorite season is spring. I love the bright new green of baby leaves.
My favorite season is fall. The leaves changing colors and the crisp cool air; it’s almost perfect. Sadly, here in New Mexico that time last all of a day before we get a freeze and the leaves fall dead to the ground. I still love going home to the Wasatch front and seeing the gorgeous leaves during that season. Not to mention all of the fun Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff that goes on. Fall is just too great!
My favorite season is Spring and my favorite holiday is Easter!
I love Easter time and spring! I always make Easter dresses for my girls!
My favorite holiday is Christmas!!!#
My favorite holiday is Easter. I love the yummy food associated with Easter dinner and the whole holiday is fun but without all the stress associated with Chirstmas!
I love Thanksgiving, of course. Food holiday!
Definitely fall! The colors, the crisp air, the football- what’s not to love?!?!
I LOVE Christmas! Could celebrate it, listen to the songs, etc all year!
I absolutely love fall! It is my favorite season! But I really just love the change in seasons too 🙂
