Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.

Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I love Summer! I love the warmth of the sun, breeze at the beach and the freshness of summer food!
I’m going to go for summer, winter has been way to long here, bring on the sunshine!
I love the summer – I don’t mind the hot and sticky days in Kentucky, though my hair sure does!
I woul LOVE a cookbook!
I LOVE summer time! I can watch my kids play on the swingset, sit on the front porch with them & eat a popsicl &, enjoy the cool summer evenings!
I love winter! Christmastime fun, yummy soups and hearty meals. I have to say that I am a summer girl as well…salads, fruit, light yummy meals! Outside fun, lounging by the pool! Hard to choose!!
Fall, definitely! Everything about it. The colors, the food, the holidays.
I love all of the seasons and holidays! There is such a variety of foods to enjoy with each one. Baking is my favorite pastime, whether desserts, breads, casserole’s. The holidays bring the family together and a whole different baking frenzy! Fills my heart with joy!
A cinnamon roll party at christmas every year with our friends 🙂
I love the *change* between seasons most of all, I think, although right now I’m loving Spring’s moderate temperatures and intermittently gorgeous days!
Favorite season is spring. Love it!! That also means gardening — much to the chagrin of my children.
I am a fan of spring and fall. Summer’s good, too, but I could do without winter. Sorry, snow-loving folks!
Fall and Thanksgiving are my favorites. Cooler weather and lots of fun trying new “warm-up” recipes and desserts.
I love all holidays but am really looking forward to Easter and the start of spring.
My favorite season is fall. I love the beautiful colors, cool but not cold weather, and the excitement of a new school year.
I am a total sucker for the Halloween season! Probably the only holiday I get excited to decorate for – and now that my kids are getting a little older, I’m excited to start doing the cute little treats and favors. 🙂
Definitely the Christmas holidays for all the baking. Although anything baking will suit my happy.
Christmas is my favorite holiday, especially now that I have children. I love to see all the excitement the holiday brings for them.
My favorite tradition in our family is every year we take the kids out and cut down our own Christmas tree, and drink hot chocolate. Our kids love it and it has become a wonderful tradition!
I love Christmas, but summer, is also another one of my favorites!
My favorite season is fall and my favorite holiday Thanksgiving. I have the Savor the Seasons cookbook and I love it. If I win I’d pick the Our Best Bites book as I don’t have it yet. I bet it’s as good as the other one. Thanks for the oppoturnity.
Summer is my best season! Thanks so much for the chance to win these AWESOME books!
My kids birthdays are my favorite “holidays.” I absolutely love making one day all about them and one of their favorite parts is picking out the food.
My favorite season is definitely summer. The hotter, the better!
My favorite time is Thanksgiving. We have a fall party and I love the crisp air and fall colors
I love summer the best. Sunshine, warm sunny days, BBQs, ice cream!
My favorite season is in the summertime. I am from the Pacific NW, so it is just gorgeous and the weather is perfect during that time of year. When we are back in the Seattle area my family goes camping a few times, we roast marshmallows in my parents fire pit and have bbq at least a few nights a week. When we are still at school, we also enjoy our local drive in movie theater and stargazing. Taking drives to Jackson WY and Yellowstone because its like a hop skip and a jump from where we are. It’s just a wonderful warm time of the year!
Ohhh! Yay! Pick me! Pick me!
We live in Arizona, so winter is my favorite, we can enjoy having our windows and doors open, we get a few rain showers and we don’t have to shovel snow. It is wonderful!
I love every holiday really. I like Mardi Gras because I make beignets that day (the only day of the year) and then St. Patrick’s Day because we have corned beef and then your Irish soda bread. OK, so anything with food is a good reason to have a holiday! 😉
My favorite holiday has to be Christmas. I love everything about it! Getting the perfect gift for a family member is so much fun!
