Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:
-To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us your favorite season, holiday, or tradition.
-The giveaway runs from today, 3/6/13 until 3/13/13.
-We’ll pick 3 winners and notify them via the email address they use to enter the giveaway. Be sure to use an email address you check often and not the email address you use when you order something from Bath & Body Works because you know you’re going to get 10 advertisement emails a day.
-The winners will get to choose either Our Best Bites: Mormon Moms in the Kitchen or Savoring the Seasons with Our Best Bites.
–The winner must respond within 48 hours of when we send the notification email. If we don’t hear from you, we will select another winner.
-If you want to forgo the whole contest thing, you can purchase the books from Amazon, Deseret Book, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and many other bookstores. If you are unable to find it, any bookstore should be happy to order it for you.
Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I love fall! We have hot summers here in the south, so fall is when I will start cooking warm comfort foods- soup, chili, pumpkin bread, etc.
Tough choice but it’ll have to be summer for me, because my husband is a teacher and we have nine glorious weeks of him playing with us on the lake and anywhere else that’s fun.
Christmas! And everything that comes with it! And I’m totally getting this cookbook for my mom!! She will love it
I love fall and Thanksgiving!
Spring and fall for sure!
I love everything about Fall ~ the food, the clothes, the scents, the crisp air and leaves and of course, Football!!!!
I love spring! I love watching all the new plants push their way through the ground and blossom. The warmth after a miserably cold winter. And my birthday! 🙂
My favorite season is fall than into winter. I love the change of colors and winter because of christmas. Family traditions are going to cider mills, pumpkin patches and going all out for Christmas. Thank you for a chance to win.
I didn’t realize how hard it is to pick just one season or holiday. Each one is unique. I guess Fall will be the winner. Cool nights, beautiful colors, harvest time, crazy days of summer come to a close and we get structure back in our lives again. Love your blog!
Wow! Hope things are better for you–you sure know how to make our days brighter 🙂
I love Valentines day… i love that it’s close to my anniversary and birthday. Makes for such a fun month!
I love Thanksgiving – the days are cooler, we’re all looking forward to Christmas, but it gives us a chance to get together with family and concentrate on our blessings.
Love your blog…summer is my favorite season. Time at the lake with all the family together and great food..
Spring time is my favorite. I like Easter time with the fam.
I was born on March 13 in a small Catholic hospital in Nevada. My mother always had long complicated births and our stay in the hospital extended into St. Patrick’s Day. The nun nurses did not want me, a tiny adorable baby, to be pinched, so they brought me to my mother that morning wearing a small green bow in my hair. She tells me that story every St. Patrick’s Day, over our dinner of green mashed potatoes and corned beef with cabbage, and then she pulls out the picture. Because of that I am an avid observer of that wearing-green rule on St. Paty’s, and I’ve always loved the traditions and food specific to that fun holiday(that’s coming up on Suday)!
We eat ice cream for breakfast on Christmas Day! It’s so much fun!
I love summer. No schedule, just time for fun.
My favorite season is Spring. It’s almost here! Hooray!
christmas! food, family, friends… what more do you need?
My favorite season is Spring and my favorite holiday is Easter, I love to plant, grow, and COOK!
Probably summer..:)
My favorite season is fall. But I must admit, spring is seeming pretty delightful right about now.
My favorite season is fall. I love the changing leaves, pumpkins, baking, lighting candles, the cooler weather so I can snuggle up with a blanket, a book, and some hot cocoa.
Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love sitting by the Christmas tree with my kids and driving around looking at Christmas lights. I also love the spirit of Christ that is in our home more so this time of year than others.
I love making tons of different Halloween treats for the little kids to get them in the spirit! Its fun for me and they love eating all the funky foods! Thanks for the awesome recipes!!!:)
My favorite season is fall. Something about cooking comfort food. So many yummy recipes!
My favorite season is Autumn. I love the changes in color of the leaves. I love wearing sweaters and its not too cold yet. My favorite holiday is Halloween. I love sweets and scary movies. Plus its in the fall and its a magical time.
Living in the Pacific Northwest, and more recently in western Oregon, I have a great appreciation for late Summer and early Fall. I know that’s not technically a “season” but it’s a combination of my two favorite seasons–and the best parts of each. It’s the time when the growing season explodes here in the PNW and farmer’s markets are full of fresh fruits and veggies, the weather is dry and relatively warm (occasionally since let’s be honest its still the PNW), and life moves outdoors for a few brief but glorious weeks.
i love spring for the new life and blooming flowers. and i love fall for all the changing colors.
I love the fall, because I start thinking of comfort foods.
