Do you ever have those days where you feel like the universe is conspiring against you? Getting today’s post ready was painful and it was not happening. So…change of plans.
If you’ve just joined us in the last few months, about 2 years ago, we wrote a book.
And people liked it! Like…it became a national bestseller! So we wrote another one…
And that one became a national bestseller. Which was awesome.
Some other awesome things about our books?
-There is a picture for every recipe.
-It has a spiral binding on the inside so you can lay it flat while you’re cooking, but the spine is printed with the title, so you can find it when you need to.
-It has this adorable bookmark with a conversion chart on it.-Both books have a “rollover index” where you can look up recipes by ingredient. So if you buy a whole quart of buttermilk or a bunch of cilantro and you’re looking for a way to use them up, we’re your girls.
So since things were not going my way today, I’m having a bowl of ice cream and giving away 3 books to 3 lucky friends!
Here’s the deal:

Ready? Set? Go! I’m gonna go eat some ice cream and lick my sad corrupted memory card wounds…
I love each season! When it is time for a new one to start I’m ready for it and then ready for the next when it’s time to change again! My grandparents are from Great Britain and one of our favorite Christmas traditions is “poppers”!! So much fun! 🙂
You know I think every season and holiday has their merits. And while I love the bigger holidays, there something about the smaller, less flashy holidays that make them some of my favorites too. I don’t know if I could pick just one. I guess I’m easy to please. 🙂
I love summer because my kids are out of school and we can build memories!
My favorite season is fall and my very favoite bolg and cookbooks are Our Best Bites!
Christmas is my favorite! It should be it’s own season, as well as a holiday!
Fall, for sure! Apple pie and crunchy leaves!
I love spring when the weather is at a happy medium between cold and blazing hot! 🙂
I love summer! And, I have the first cookbook and it’s AWESOME! Keep up the great recipes! =)
I love fall! Cool, crisp air. Warm apple cider and snuggly sweaters. Soup and bread!! Love it!
Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I love Christmas cookies! So many favorites that we only make once a year!
I absolutely love, love, love christmas.
Spring! Spring! Spring!
My favorite family tradition is skiing on Christmas Eve! It’s paradise, skiing with my children in our beautiful, snow-filled, majestic Utah mountains. I love the awesome scenery, the greatest snow on earth, and my favorite family on earth.
My favorite season is fall. Beautiful weather, football and comfort food cravings (not to mention all things pumpkin)!
Fall is my favorite cooking season. So many great fall harvest dishes and it’s always nice to warm up the house by baking something yummy in the oven!
Thanksgiving – all the food and family with none of the gift pressure!
My favorite season (for cooking and being outdoors) is summer because of all the beautiful produce that I can grill to my heart’s content.
Spring! I live in MN and it’s when life comes back…that one lovely day when suddenly all the trees are green with buds, and you are well into wearing flip flops (for the rest of the summer and fall)… We’re getting closer! 😀
My favorite holiday is Christmas by far! All the fun family activities, good food, time spend with extended family, and especially what Christmas represents. It really is the “most wonderful time of the year”!
My favorite season is summer all the way!
ooooh….I ♥ summertime due to all of the delish garden veggies that we grow! nothing beats a warm just picked garden tomato! ♥♥♥♥ my mouth is watering just typing this :]
I love fall.. Mostly because I can start wearing my hooded sweatshirts!!
Mmm my all-time favorite season is Autumn. Such a warm time for when it’s starting to get cold. My favorite thing to do is hunker down on some couches with some friends with delicious food and a couple bottles of wine, and the Fall is when that seems to happen most. Your website has helped me achieve my goals – thank you for all the wonderful recipes!
Easter!! I love when winter rolls into spring and we can celebrate all the beauty and wonder of Easter! What a cheerful, beautiful, hopeful holiday!
So many to list … I love spring!! Everything is new again. The snow is melting away. There’s more sunlight. The sugar houses are running leaving the smell of maple sugar in the air. And most fun of all is April Fool’s Day. We love trying to trick each other. It’s all good!!
My favorite season is Christmas. We have fondue on Christmas Eve with Santa coming to visit, then on to homemade cinnamon rolls in the morning with a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings. We make cornbread dressing (a tradition in the South). Homemade candies, German Chocolate, etc. are a necessity for Christmas.
Favorite tradition…hmmm. I think my favorite would have to be the tradition of the Candle Tower. That’s probably not the technical name, but that’s what we call it. It’s this tower with three levels. On the top there are angels, in the middle there are shepherds and sheep, and on the bottom there is a nativity with wisemen. The shepherds and wisemen are mounted on discs. There are little candle holders connected to the base and fan-like blades at the top. When you light the candles, the fan blades begin to turn causing the discs with the figures to turn. We turn off all the lights and sing Christmas songs around it for a while. The candlelight is beautiful and the shadows it casts on the ceiling are incredible. It’s the best part of Christmas.
Summer is my favorite season. I tend to be cold often and so I LOVE to finally be warm!
Summer is my favorite season! So much going on… camping, cooking, family visits… just a ton of memories made in the summer!
