Time Out For Women 2012

CATEGORIES: General News

Since Kate is making her way back from the happiest place on earth, and I’m still recovering from having my kids home all day on a 9 day holiday break aka spend all day in our jammies, go on a laundry strike and trash the house spree a lovely Thanksgiving week, we wanted to make a quick announcement today and then we’ll be back in the kitchen cooking and crafting this week.

We are really excited to announce that we’ll be participating in something called Time Out For Women.

What’s Time Out For Women?  Said best in their own words:

“We know it is not necessarily easy to raise happy, righteous families and live as women of God in the 21st century. There are days when your perspective dims a little and you long for someone to remind you who you are and why you’re here. And that is the mission of TOFW—to be one more encouraging voice in this often challenging world.”

I’ve attended TOFW in my own home town and found it so inspiring, entertaining, motivating, uplifting, and just plain fun.  It’s truly a unique experience and Kate and I are thrilled to be presenters on the 2012 tour!

Time our For Women holds events all across the country and we’ll be at a few this winter-spring, and a few next fall:  (UPDATE:  We had told you Harrisburg, PA was cancelled from our schedule, but we will be there after all!)

That’s Ogden UT, Orlando FL, Arlington TX, Harrisburg PA, Denver CO, Logan UT, and Phoenix AZ.  We’re excited to visit some new places and hopefully meet more of you!

Also, right now through December 6th, you can hop on the early bird special and get tickets at a discounted price.  Click on the city you’d like to attend in this link for all of the details.   If you’re not ready to register just yet, you can register later with a group of 4 or more people and get the same deal in a group discount.

Again, don’t forget to to enter the current giveaway by clicking here, and then we’ll have a yummy recipe on Wednesday and a too-freaking-cute-for-words winter craft (using stuff from your fridge!) on Friday.  Happy Monday y’all!

  1. I went to TOFW for my first time just last week! I LOVED it! Now you’re telling me that you two are going to be presenting??? How fun is that? Yes, it’s even worth the drive to Ogden. Is there any chance at all that they will increase the number of cities you’ll be attending? Super excited for you both!

    1. I’m not sure if they’ll increase the number, there are a lot of speakers and everyone seems to have about this many, but who knows! We have some things going on during the middle of the year that will make all of those summer dates tricky for us, so I think we’ll probably be sticking to this schedule. But if they add any more we’ll be sure to let everyone know.

      1. Do you know yet whether you will be presenting on Friday or Saturday in Layton? You’ll know where I’m sitting by all the hollering I’ll be doing when they introduce you to the crowd 🙂

        1. Never mind- I see you will be presenting on Saturday. Sometimes it helps to do a little research before inserting foot into mouth.

  2. TOFW website has you both also listed to appear at the Harrisburg, PA tour on April 20, 2012 – is that correct or no? Us east coasters (north east, that is) would love to get our fair share of you guys!

  3. I thought you were supposed to be at the Harrisburg PA one too??? My mother, sister, sister-in-law and I are going to that one and were super excited at the thought of meeting you guys!

  4. I have never been to tofw, but I am planning on going to it this spring in Harrisburg! I’m so sad you won’t be there! I would love to meet you!

  5. YAY! YAY! YAY! I’m going to the one in Arlington, TX! I had already planned to, but this just seals the deal! Oh, I’m so excited! !!!

  6. Even though I’ve never commented on your blog before, I’ve been a big fan and have sent several people your way. I used to do catering untill I realized how hard it was on my family. At 52 years old I fell into a slump with cooking, until my daughter introduced me to your blog. Just wanted to say thanks!!! Also if you would like a yummy “Creamy Fire-roasted Tomato Soup” recipe (a knock=off from the White Cho. Grill), I would be happy to share.

  7. Oh my heck! I am so stinkin’ excited for you to come to Logan 🙂 My mom, grandma, my sisters and I went a few months ago and we vowed that we would make it a tradition!! I can’t wait!!

  8. That is so exciting! I have not yet been to a TOFW, but it would make my first time so much better to see you both in Phoenix, AZ! Thanks for the heads up!!

  11. This is so weird– after last month’s TOFW (in Phoenix), I thought to myself, “Those OBB girls would be so great at TOFW.” So I totally called it. 🙂 My sisters and I go every year, and we’re all big fans, so I can’t wait to meet you and have you sign my cookbook! You will love Phoenix in November!

  12. I’m the Team Lead for the TOFW in Harrisburg and am soooooo excited that you’re coming!!! I’m definitely going to brag to everyone that you two will be here!! See you in April!
