We’re On Vacation!

CATEGORIES: General News, Kate

So my kids and I have trekked from Louisiana to Utah and then yesterday, we drove from Utah up to Sara’s house (um…has anyone else ever stopped at that gas station on I-84 with the alpacas where you pretty much have to sell one of your children for gas?). We had big plans to post a new recipe today, but we were having so much fun catching up and hanging out that we’re taking a little break today. We’ve shopped for a party we’re throwing tomorrow, let our crazy kids run wild, and made these crazy-good fajitas that both of us are pretty sure we could eat every day of our lives. We hope y’all had a fabulous weekend and we’ll be back soon!

OBB Weekend

  1. The Flying J gas stop in Snowville has the best crisp bean burrito’s. Just sayin. It’s total crap food and deep fried, but I don’t what they do differently than other gas station deli type food – but those burrito’s are now a tradition to stop and get a few on out trips from the PNW to Utah.

  2. I live in the town just off of that freeway exit. All the locals know to stay away from that tricky gas station. Lures you in by not posting his gas prices on the signs and those cute alpacas. Tsk, tsk. Try not to just the rest of us because of it. Just sayin’!! Love you two!!

  3. Have loved, l.o.v.ed., luuuuuved your blog fo eva and finally tellin’ ya so 🙂 I’m so glad you’re having some time off. You two have given us sooo many wonderful recipes to enjoy… and enjoy. Have fun!!!

  4. You have to tell me where that gas station is! All the times I’ve driven between Boise and Salt Lake, and I’ve never stopped there. I’m going down to Utah again in about a week. Seeing alpacas would be a little bit of excitement for the kids. That drive is not fun with two year old twins, so any distraction is a good one. Whenever I have family from GA visiting and we drive down to UT, we always have to stop at the Garden of Eden gas station. My sister’s name is Eve and she married a guy named Adam, so she’s pretty tickled about it.
