Orange Vanilla Fruit Dip

Every once and a while I get a craving for something from my childhood, like this easy and delicious fruit dip, and I’m not sure if it’s because the recipe itself is amazing, or I’m longing for the nostalgia. I love it when I make the recipe and I get both! My Mom used to make this and it was one of my favorite things as a kid.

This creamy fruit dip is so simple to make. Just a handful of ingredients and it comes together in minutes. It tastes like a creamsicle and it’s perfect with fresh fruit, and even gram crackers and Nilla wafters. Whether your making it for a party or just an afternoon snack, it’s one of those simple recipes that never goes out of style.

Ingredients Needed for Fruit Dip:

This is just a preview of ingredients and method, keep scrolling for full printable recipe.

  • Cream Cheese– I like regular cream cheese in this recipe. You can use low-fat, but the overall texture will be looser.
  • Marshmallow Fluff/Creme – the small size jar, jet-puffed is 7oz
  • Orange – you’ll use both the juice and the zest. A Microplane is a must!
  • Vanilla – I like to use vanilla bean paste, but extract is just fine, too.
  • Salt

How to Make Orange Vanilla Fruit Dip

  1. Combine softened cream cheese with marshmallow fluff until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add fresh orange juice, zest, a little vanilla, and salt.
  3. That’s it! Dip your favorite fresh fruit (or cookies 🙂

Yes! This fruit dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Give it a quick stir before serving, if needed.

How long will this fruit dip last in the fridge?

Stored in an airtight container, this dip will stay fresh fro about 3-4 days in the refrigerator.

Can I use bottled orange juice?

Fresh OJ will provide better flavor, but you could use bottled in a pinch. Don’t skip the fresh orange zest though, it adds most of the flavor in this recipe.

What fruits work best for this fruit dip?

Strawberries, apple slices, pineapple, and melon are easy to dip. Try doing smaller things like berries or grapes on skewers. It’s also REALLY good with Nilla wafers or graham crackers!

You can, but the texture will be slightly softer/looser. I’d avoid fat free cream cheese.
