8 Must-Have Basic Pressure Cooker Recipes!

Over the last few years, pressure cookers have become incredibly popular and a total staple in so many kitchens. We still get a lot of questions about pressure cookers and the difference between them and slow cookers. They’re basically exact opposites–just about anything that can be done in a slow cooker can also be done a in a pressure cooker, only significantly faster. They have their pros and cons and I definitely still use both, but if I forget to put the roast in at 9 am, it’s no longer the end of the world because I can get the same results in an hour with the pressure cooker instead of 8 hours with my slow cooker.

One of the great things is that if you learn the basics to pressure cooker cooking, you can modify a lot of recipes that you already have. So today, I’ve compiled 8 absolute must-have pressure cooker recipes–print ’em out, save ’em, these are the things you’re going to come back to again and again because they’re going to make your life so much easier! And while the whole chicken, pot roast, and chicken recipes take you to actual real recipes, you can modify them any way you want, so if you want to make a pot roast, just use the same method that we use in the Greek Pot Roast recipe, only modify it using your ingredients. Same with the whole chicken and the chicken breasts. Make sense? Hope so!

  1. Steel Cut Oats 2. Pot Roast 3. Chicken Breasts 4. Mashed Potatoes 5. Quinoa 6. Hard Cooked Eggs 7. Brown Rice 8. Whole Chicken

Hope everyone has a happy and safe weekend!
