Apparently I’m on an orange-cranberry kick (if you missed my scones from Monday, be sure and check them out!) But it’s Christmas, which means ’tis the season for many things, orange-cranberry included. And this Honey Cranberry Orange Baked Brie is definitely worth it.
I love baked brie because it is so elegant and also so easy. The tartness of fresh cranberries and orange zest plus the sweetness of honey is the perfect pair with ooey-gooey melted brie, especially when toasted pecans keep it all grounded. Serve it with slices of crusty artisan bread, crackers, and fresh fruit.
You’re going to need some fresh cranberries, the zest from an orange, pecans, an 8-ounce wheel of brie, and some honey.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Place the wheel of Brie in a small oven-safe skillet (I love these mini cast iron skillets!) or on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Set aside.
Place the cranberries in the jar of a blender or food processor
and pulse until chopped.
Transfer to a small bowl and mix with orange zest
and 1/4 cup honey.
Place this mixture on top of the Brie, then top with pecan halves.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is oozing but not completely melted. If desired, drizzle a little additional honey on top.
Serve with sliced bread, crackers, and fresh fruit.
