Quick and easy Baked Cinnamon Chips are made by brushing flour tortillas with melted butter, sprinkling with cinnamon-sugar, and baking until light and crisp. They make a delicious snack on their own, or try topping them with some vanilla ice cream and buttermilk caramel sauce or hot fudge. They are also delicious dipped in fruit dip or straight into whipped cream. Two of our favorite uses are to build a plate of decadent Strawberry-Chocolate Nachos or dip in Fruit Salsa!

How to Make Baked Cinnamon Chips:
Simply lay out your tortillas and brush each one with melted butter and sprinkle with a little cinnamon-sugar and then cut into wedges. I’ve provided measurements and quantities in the recipe, but you can absolutely eyeball literally everything here. I never measure anything when I make these. Simply brush and sprinkle!
Lay them on a baking sheet (I line mine with parchment or foil for easy clean up) and then bake them in the oven. Different brands and sizes of tortillas might take varying amounts of time but it’s usually about 10 minutes or so. Just keep an eye on them and take them out when they turn golden on the edges.
When they’re done and cooled completely they’ll be light and crisp and oh so delicious. These are yummy, addicting little things. You can use them for all kinds of things- try making nachos by topping them with some vanilla ice cream and buttermilk caramel sauce or hot fudge. Or dip them in fruit dip or straight into whipped cream. Or just snack on them plain- they make a great after school snack. My toddler loves making these with me!
Try them with our Sweet Fruit Salsa, or in Strawberry Chocolate Nachos!
I made these for mine and my husband’s 2 year anniversary and he loved them!! Thank you I’ve been looking for a recipe for these for a while!!
Hi I can’t wait to make these, but I have a question!! Do you sprinkle both sides of the chip with cinnamon sugar or just one?? Will it stick to the pan if you do both??
So easy I had my 5yr old son make them! And so much better than the ones from the store.
I dipped these in some leftover cinnamon roll icing from this morning & it was delicious!!! 🙂
At a restaraunt I use to work at.. we would take the tortillas, cut them into wedges and then put them in the fryer for a minute or two, then you take them out, placing them into a big container filled with cinnamon/suger mixture and shake them up.. they come out light and crispy with some air pockets.. mmm.. awesome with vanilla pudding!
that looks just delicious
These were great! Had some leftover homemade flour tortillas. Buttered and cinnamon/sugared both sides, buttered the baking sheet, took the remaining butter and drizzled over pre-baked chips, then covered with the rest of the cinnamon/sugar. After they came out of the oven, placed the chips on a cooling rack, scraped up the butter/cinnamon/sugar from the cookie sheet and dispersed among the chips, then very lightly sprinkled with kosher salt.
Made this with Trader Joe’s 100% whole wheat tortillas and baked them a few extra minutes on the top rack and they were amazing. Kids loved them with berry “salsa” for after-school snack. They also loved them dipped in applesauce. Thanks!
I was looking for an easy afterschool snack. This was perfect and easy, not the big after school production I grudgingly usually do for my starving 1st grader! He loved these! Thanks so much-a keeper for sure! I only baked for 8 minutes, too!
This is the best idea! Why didn’t I think of this?? I’m making these tomorrow!
2 of my kids are allergic to cinnamon, Could I use powdered sugar to make a simple recipe like this?
I would just use granulated sugar and omit the cinnamon. Hope that helps!
For those interested in corn tortillas… I made them with corn ones because that was all I had. I baked mine for about 15 minutes and they were golden brown and really crispy, not chewy at all. Maybe I used more butter though. I think they are really yummy.
I made these for my sister’s bridal shower and served them with a peanut butter pudding dip. The whole thing was awesome. The only thing I would suggest would be to use the extra sugar and butter…I didn’t notice any extra pounds on my already rounded hips and I was completely satisfied with they way everything looked and tasted.
First, 3 ingredient recipes FTW! I’m definitely a fan! Second, my daughter and I are making these tomorrow, yum! Last but not least, happy belated birthday!
Wow this looks soooo delish. I have made the chips with taco seasoning , those too are delish
These sound amazing … reposted on Pinterest. Can’t wait to try!
