So our Mother’s Day shop sale runs through the end of today (use code MOM15 to get 15% off your order!) but just in case you’re still shopping, we’ve put together a collection of some of our favorite Mother’s Day gifts!
We’ve got a little bit of everything, from high-end to just a couple of bucks, so hopefully you’ll be able to find something to keep the most important ladies in your life happy! Oh, and if you’re looking for gift tags, look no further–our amazing designer Susie did these tags with us last year and I’m pretty sure they’re still the cutest printable Mother’s Day gift tags you’re ever going to find (and they’re customizable!)
Milkboy Chocolate
If you’re really stumped on what to get someone for any occasion, default to chocolate. Always. You can never go wrong there- but make sure it’s good chocolate. Let’s be real. Handing a woman a Hershey’s bar is a sign you actually forgot to get something thoughtful- but handing her beautiful, luxurious Swiss chocolate made from the gorgeous dairy cows in the Alps? Bingo. Milkboy is by latest obsession. You can buy a fun variety pack that has a bunch of interesting flavors to try. I mentioned on instagram that their Lemon Ginger Bar and Crunchy Caramel with Sea Salt are some of the best chocolates I’ve ever had. And they even have a dark chocolate with pine tree oil that was absolutely delicious! The beautiful packaging makes it so you don’t even have to dress it up much. Definitely a great brand to try.
GoldBely
If you have a foodie in your life, surprise them with the seemingly impossible. My husband knows that eating a pastrami sandwich from the famous Katz’s Deli in NYC was on my bucket list, so for my birthday, instead of getting me to New York, he got the pastrami to Idaho! He used Goldbely, a service that can literally hook you up with eats from almost any famous place you can think of. It’s an awesome website that makes local foods widely accessible. Macarons from the famed Sucre in New Orleans? Check. A cake from Milk Bar in Brooklyn? No problem. Cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery? You betcha. And not just sweets- you can find almost ANYTHING on there. You definitely pay a price for transferring fresh food magically accross the country, but it’s a fun, thoughtful, unique idea that people who love food will really appreciate! If you want to try it out, using the code ericicecream1 will get ya $15 off your first order!
Dean & Deluca Spices
I got this spice rack as a gift a few Christmases ago and it’s hands-down my favorite way to store spices. They’re easy to find, they don’t take up a ton of space, and they look great!
I love these cookie jars. They’re incredibly well made and good sized for less that $15 (some less than 10!) I have the elephant one on my kitchen counter and I love stashing little goodies in there. The mason jar, owl, and fox are pretty darn cute, too!
I LOVE this gorgeous tea kettle. It looks stellar on the counter, and I love that you can just plug it in anywhere. I use it often for buffets because it stays warm and people can mix up their own hot chocolate or tea. You can find it on Amazon, and they also have them at Target and Walmart. It comes in several really pretty designs, too!
I remember my first summer in Louisiana, we were having a party and I loaded some ice into the back of my van. By the time I got back to my house, which was about 5 minutes away from the grocery store, the ice was nearly melted. “Hot” here was a hot like I had never experienced anywhere else. So it seems like everyone I know has Yeti cups to stay hydrated year round, but they are so spendy that I could never justify the cost.
I stumbled into SIC cups and yes, they are still expensive, but not quite as much as the Yetis, plus they come in gorgeous colors (the Tiffany blue is even prettier than I thought it would be). I can virtually guarantee you that this is something Mom is never going to buy herself, but once she has it, she will never be able to imagine a world without it. It keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot for hours, plus it’s huge, so she can transfer her entire Dirty Diet Coke into it. And it’s big, but it’s tall and the base is skinnier on bottom, so it’s easy to hold, even with my infant-sized hands, plus it fits into car cup holders. It’s basically the cup dreams are made of.
I caught a peek at these via our awesome web designer Susie and I knew I needed to have them. Luckily, they were a steal from Amazon for $9.99. They’re whimsical and fun, but not obnoxious. If my children were buying these for me, I really wouldn’t say know if they included a half gallon of Blue Bell Butter Crunch and a vintage spoon. Just sayin’.
This is another splurge-y item, something good to divvy up among your siblings. But I am constantly amazed at how much I use my Le Creuset–whether I’m searing a roast or simmering soup or sautéing chicken thighs and transferring them to the oven or making a large batch of breakfast cereal, I pretty much always reach for my Le Creuset. In fact, I don’t have a place for it in my cupboards, I just leave it on my stove all the time (good thing it’s gorgeous). I think the 7 3/4 quart size is perfect–not super huge, but big enough to handle just about any day-to-day cooking.
This is such a cute, affordable colander–in fact, it’s one of my favorite way to package gifts from the kitchen (load them into the colander like a gift basket.) It comes in a variety of colors and is the perfect finishing touch for any gift.
Okay, people ask me ALL the time what I use to style my hair, and this is it. I actually have a couple different NuMe wands, but I recently got the Curl Jam set which is LIFE CHANGING. Sorry to be dramatic, but you guys. A flat iron, and then all three sizes of curling wands in one tool. You just switch out the wand on a single base. It all comes in a handy carrying case perfect for traveling. They have several different sets; check them all out and then if you use discount code BESTBITES99 you get $99 off. You read that correctly. $99 off any set! For the love, go buy one for yourself!
This is my favorite hand cream lately. The tubes are really cute, and big enough to last a while, but small enough to fit in your purse. And the smell of these two- I can’t even. The lemon smells like lemon cake. Like, you’ll want to lick your hands. And the grapefruit is my other favorite– smells like fresh-squeezed citrus!
I got this a few years ago for Mother’s Day with my kids’ names stamped on it and it’s still my favorite piece of jewelry! It matches everything, you can dress it up or down, and you can adjust it slightly depending on your wrist size.
I basically live in flip flops 10 months out of the year, some of them super casual, some of them a little more dressy. These strike a great balance; Mom’s toes can be free but won’t look like she’s coming from swim practice.
Chatbooks
If you use social media, like Instagram, to record your personal family memories, one of THE best things I’ve ever done was get a subscription to Chatbooks. (You can read my review, here.) It instantly turns your pictures into darling photobooks and sends them to you automatically, but what’s awesome- especially for Mother’s Day, is that you can order a subscription for someone else, too! Set is up for as little as $8 per book and it will automatically send straight to grandmas house so she can flip through those fun family photos. If you use the code BESTBITES, you’ll get your first book free!
Rocksbox
This is another fun subscription service I use and I LOVE it. (Read my full review, here) Rocksbox is a service that sends you designer jewelry. It’s $19/month and you get 3 pieces of jewelry at a time. You can wear it as much or as little as you like and then pop it back in the prepaid envelope with free shipping. If you love something, you can choose to keep it! I have found the coolest pieces and it’s like getting presents in the mail all month long. This is a really fun service to pamper someone (someone like yourself) with! Use code ourbestbitesxoxo and get an entire month FREE. You can get a few boxes in that time if you want to!
Bouqs Bouquet of the Month
I have watched Bouqs from afar for the longest time and I always want to order their bouquets (hi, peonies and ranunculus…I can never find you anywhere else), but I can’t justify spending that much money on myself on something that will be dead in a few days. But I bet your mom would love to get fresh blooms every month, and when you subscribe, you get a discount.
Whew! Hopefully you’ve gotten Mother’s Day taken care of–have a fun and safe weekend!
I was so excited about the $99 off Nume until I saw that it’s nearly $99 more at that link than on Amazon!
